How to Build Illuminated Tall Grass in Pokémon Pokopia

One of the most charming features of Pokémon Pokopia is discovering what type of Pokémon will spawn after building a certain type of habitat.

It's definitely an interesting twist on the "gotta catch 'em all" style of gameplay. We learned as kids that wild Pokémon are everywhere, with some being more common in certain habitats.

That's a fact that remains true here in Pokémon Pokopia, and it's easily one of my favorite aspects of the game. That said, sometimes it can be a little tricky to build certain habitats. Some are fairly obvious, while others are a little more difficult to get down.

Today, our guide on how to build an illuminated tall grass Pokémon spawn will cover just that: how to build the habitat, where you can get the materials from, and what type of Pokémon will spawn in the habitat.

How to Build the Illuminated Tall Grass Habitat in Pokémon Pokopia

As you might have inferred, the Illuminated Tall Grass Habitat in Pokémon Pokopia is, well, a Tall Grass Habitat that's illuminated.

It's something that sounds super simple in theory, but figuring out the specific items you need can trip you up. Here's what you're going to need:

• 4 patches of Tall Grass connected in some way.
• A man-made source of light, such as a Mushroom Lamp.

The Tall Grass is the easy part: you'll be able to plant patches of Tall Grass through the Leafage ability you learned at the start of the game from Bulbasaur. The source of light, though, is where you might get confused.

You may have run into some glowing mushrooms in nearby caves. That's one thing you'll need, but despite the fact that they're, well, glowing, those alone won't get the job done. You need to physically craft (or purchase) an artificial source of light, such as a Mushroom lamp.

Here's what you need to craft the Mushroom lamp:

• 1 Glowing mushroom
• 1 Sturdy stick

Craft the lamp at a workbench, then place it next to a Tall Grass Habitat. From there, it will register as an Illuminated Tall Grass Habitat!

What Pokémon Will Spawn in an Illuminated Tall Grass Habitat

Once you've successfully created your Illuminated Tall Grass Habitat, a Pokémon will shortly spawn there. There are only two Pokémon that will spawn in this Habitat: Venomat and Venomoth.
