In true supernatural horror fashion, Krampus serves as the event's mascot, and there are special activities and items for players to discover during their Christmas-themed investigations.

The 2025 Winter's Jest event involves some new features compared to previous years, and some take a little extra investigation to figure out. Here's how to participate in and earn rewards from the event.

How to Unlock 2025 Winter's Jest Event in Phasmophobia

To unlock the Winter's Jest event, you simply need to download the aptly named Winter's Jest (v0.15.1.0) update, which is available as of December 16, 2025.

There's no in-game level requirement for accessing this seasonal event, but some of the maps involved in the event (e.g. - Nell's Diner, Bleasdale Farmhouse) do require reaching a certain level for the first time before they become available.

All 2025 Winter's Jest Event Maps in Phasmophobia

As with other seasonal events in Phasmophobia, only certain map locations will be used for the event's unique contracts. In the case of the Winter's Jest 2025 event, the following roster of maps is included in the overall daily rotation:

6 Tanglewood Drive
13 Willow Street
42 Edgefield Road
Camp Woodwind
Bleasdale Farmhouse
Grafton Farmhouse
Maple Lodge Campsite
Point Hope
Nells Diner

Be aware that not all of these maps will be available on a day-to-day basis. For example, one day will have 42 Edgefield Road and Nell's Diner available, but not necessarily the following day. So if you're looking to focus on certain maps for this event, keep that in mind.

Furthermore, event maps are indicated by a red present box in the bottom-right corner of the map's icon. Any maps that don't have that icon are not participating.

How to Earn 2025 Winter's Jest Event Points in Phasmophobia

To earn Event Points in Phasmophobia's 2025 Winter's Jest event, you'll need to start by completing contracts on qualifying maps (as mentioned above). If you attempt a contract on a map that isn't actively participating in the event (indicated by a red present icon), you won't receive any Event Points.

Once you arrive on location, make note of the Krampus sack that's placed by the front entrance. On the front of it is a page with a Nice list and a Naughty list, along with names under each one. Next to those names will be various small symbols indicating the toys that Krampus has chosen for them.

Your goal here is to find all the toys for each list and place them (with your appropriate "throw" button) inside the sack. As you do, the list will mark them off, and once all toys have been collected for a specific name, that name will then be crossed out.

The toys themselves will be scattered around the map, and there will be enough toys to fill every requirement on Krampus' list in any given contract. Be aware that most of the toys will be fixed to certain rooms in a given location. For example, on 6 Tanglewood Drive, you can find all Branch presents in the basement, while you'll find all Elf presents in the Laundry room.

The potential toys you need to collect include the following:

Branches (a bunch wrapped in a bow)
Elf Doll (seen above; symbol resembles a doll in a dress)
Reindeer
Bear (playerbase has also called it a Capybara)
Candy Cane
Coal (three pieces wrapped in a bow)
Rock (single block wrapped in a bow)

Christmas Tree
Snowman
Gingerbread Man
Gold Star

If you manage to submit all the presents requested by Krampus, you'll receive one of a few different potential presents in return. These can include snowball guns, cookies that restore some of your stamina, or extra equipment (e.g. - an extra Crucifix) to use for your investigation.

However, if you get one of the presents wrong, the sack will immediately fill with coal, which is all you get in return for your grave mistake.

Aside from that, also make sure to open the red wind-up Krampus boxes for extra points.

The 2025 Winter's Jest event provides a Christmas-themed variety of rewards, both for newcomers and veterans. To earn your rewards, you must complete contracts on qualifying maps and earn event points (can be viewed during each debriefing) that go towards both the Community Goals and Personal Goals progress gauges.

As its name suggests, the Community Goals progress gauge is filled by the playerbase as a whole, meaning that any event points you accrue through contracts also serve as a contribution to it. As for the Personal Goals progress gauge, that is filled exclusively by your personal progress, regardless of how the community performs.

Therefore, if you want to earn the Personal Goal rewards, you'll need to complete a sufficient number of investigation contracts to earn enough event points for those rewards. However, you're still free to do contracts in a preformed group to help facilitate better completion rates if you wish.

In all, you can obtain the following event rewards:

Community Goal 1 Reward - Toy Soldier ID Card and Badge
Community Goal 2 Reward - Winter's Jest Trophy (This is the same base trophy provided in previous Winter's Jest events. If you already have it, your points will go towards upgrading the trophy instead.)
Personal Goal 1 Reward - Toy Soldier ID Card and Badge (Foil version)
Personal Goal 2 Reward - Upgrade to Winter's Jest trophy (can be done up to 3 times)

Once the first Community Goal gauge has been filled, the reward(s) for that goal will be automatically dispersed to all players and the second gauge for Community Goal 2 will begin. Likewise, once your first Personal Goal gauge is filled, you'll automatically unlock the reward(s) for that tier and subsequent gauges are exclusively for trophy upgrades.

How Long Does 2025 Winter's Jest Event Last in Phasmophobia?

The 2025 Winter's Jest seasonal event is available to all players from December 16 (12PM GMT) until January 6, 2026 (12PM GMT), providing a total of three weeks to complete all event-related objectives. All earned rewards can be claimed until the end of the final day of the event. The Winter's Jest is Phasmophobia's annual Christmas-themed event, and will return the following December of 2026.

Additionally, the first week of Winter's Jest 2025 (December 16 - December 23) includes a special double XP/money bonus for all players. This means that every contract you complete during this initial week will provide double the normal amount of rewards, which is definitely an ideal opportunity not only for event rewards but leveling in general (especially for prestige ranks).
