How to evolve Galarian Yamask in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Yamask is going to be hurting for a bit before it can evolve

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Galarian Yamask needs to meet certain conditions to evolve into Runerigus. It just needs to take some damage before you stand under one of two specific bridges in Lumiose City, so the hardest part of evolving it may be catching it in the first place: Galarian Yamask can be caught in Hyperspace Lumiose, and when it shows up is at the luck of the draw.

Galarian Yamask was added to Pokémon Legends: Z-A in the Hyperspace Pokédex as part of the Mega Dimension DLC. If you don't have the DLC, a willing trainer can always trade you the Pokémon if you want to use it in the base game.

Galarian Yamask can evolve once it meets two conditions: it must have taken at least 49 points of damage and you must be standing under one of the two Coulant Waterway bridges.

Depending on what level your Yamask is, having it take 49 points or more of damage will either be simply done or like playing with fire. Our Galarian Yamask was level 25 with 59 HP, so we took it to a low-leveled wild zone to get slowly beat up by wild Pokémon (sorry, little dude).

Once Galarian Yamask has been sufficiently damaged, head over to Coulant Waterway. It's on the east side of Lumiose City and can be spotted between wild zone 2 and wild zone 17 on your map. Two bridges extend over the water.

Stand under either of them and your damaged Galarian Yamask and you should be able to open your menu and see the little arrow, indicating that your injured buddy is ready for evolution.
