How to Farm Golden Apples in Crimson Desert

One of the biggest hurdles you will need to cross in Crimson Desert is obtaining money to fund your projects, as well as the projects of your camp. While there are some good ways to get money early in the game, they won't sustain you in the long term when things start to get more expensive.

One of the best items to sell if you want to get some extra silver in your pocket is Golden Apples. These apples can typically be sold for around 114 Silver, but they can also be combined with gold ore to make Golden Bars, which can be sold for a lot more. In the end, farming Golden Apples in Crimson Desert will make you filthy rich.

Golden Apple Farming Location

To farm Golden Apples in Crimson Desert, you will want to travel to Grey Rock Dock in Demeniss. This location sits on the northwestern border of Demeniss, where it meets the northeastern border of Hernand.

There is a convenient fast travel point next to the Gate of Truth that you can use to easily reach this location. From here, you can travel southwest to reach the dock. You can also travel to the Leafshade House and travel south along the river to find the Grey Rock Dock.

How to Farm Golden Apples

Once you have reached the Grey Rock Dock, you will want to be on the lookout for Golden Apple Hedgehogs. They are easy to spot, as they have Golden Apples resting on their backs.

Stick to the main road that runs through the area, and you will typically see a Golden Apple Hedgehog run through. When this happens, pull out your bow and shoot either the apple to knock it off the Hedgehog's back, or shoot the Hedgehog. Either way, the apple will fall, allowing you to pick it up.

Picking up Golden Apples in this way does count as stealing, so you will need to wear a mask. Once you pick up the Golden Apple, the normal red ring will appear. Simply run out of it, wait for the ring to disappear, and then return to the location.

Wait a minute or two, and you should see another Golden Apple Hedgehog run on by. Repeat the process of shooting the apple, picking it up, running away, and returning.

Each time you return, you should be able to find another Golden Apple Hedgehog, allowing you to infinitely farm Golden Apples. If one doesn't appear, you can rest or fast travel and return to the location to reset it.

Turning Golden Apples Into Gold Bars

You can sell a Golden Apple for around 114 Silver. While that is a lot of money, there is a better way to go about it. First you will need to collect some gold ore.

After you get some gold ore, you will need to collect the Gold Bar recipe. This can be found in the Witch's Hideout to the southeast of the main city in Pailune. It is on the shelf behind the table with the tea recipe.

Once you know the recipe for crafting Gold Bars, go to the witch in Hernand, choose the crafting option, and go through the tabs until you find the Gold Bar option.

Crafting this item will cost you one Golden Apple and three gold ore, but it will get you 500 Silver for selling it instead of the 114 that a Golden Apple normally will.
