The John Wick Sprite is a new variant added to Fortnite as of update v41.30, but gamers won't have an easy time finding it. That's because, unlike most sprites, it is not immediately available in Battle Royale — it's a Fortnite Reload exclusive.

Those lucky enough to run into the John Wick sprite in their first couple of games may find themselves wondering how they can secure it and add it to their collection, as there are no extraction sites on the Reload map.

Here's how to get a John Wick Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3.

How to find the John Wick sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3

The John Wick sprite only spawns in Reload, so the only way to find it by yourself is to play this game mode. To get the John Wick sprite in Fortnite, you have to search chest containers in Reload. While they do appear when you open a standard wooden chest, the spawn rate is very low. Therefore, the fastest way to obtain the John Wick sprite is to open a rare chest.

It is impossible to know where a rare chest will appear, but you can increase your chances by visiting named locations with a high loot density, such as Springfield Town Square, and keeping an ear out so you can hear them, as they produce a different sound.

Alternatively, you can play Reload or Battle Royale and be on the lookout for enemies with this sprite on their back; eliminating them will allow you to take their loot, including this rare sprite.

If you're lucky enough to get your hands on the John Wick Sprite, you'll gain the ability to reveal nearby enemies after knocking down another player.

There are no extraction sites in Fortnite Reload, so you can't simply open the map in order to find the closest location that'll allow you to secure the John Wick Sprite. To extract sprites in Fortnite Reload, you have to get your hands on a Reload Portable Extractor or win the match with the sprite in your inventory.

Winning the match is a significantly harder feat, so you might be better off looking for a vending machine and purchasing the Reload Portable Extractor for 50 gold bars. It may also appear inside chest containers or as floor loot. However, if you have enough gold to spare, it might be easier to find a vending machine and secure the sprite as soon as possible.
