How to Unlock Mini Mill in Fields of Mistria

The Mini Mill is one of the many items added as part of Fields of Mistria's Major Fourth Update (0.15.0), and provides an incredibly convenient tool for your farm that reduces the amount of running around that you'd otherwise have to do daily.

While the placeable Forge is a tool that is very simple to obtain, this one is a bit different. To unlock the Mini Mill in Fields of Mistria, you first need to upgrade the Carpenter's Shop in the Eastern Road section of town. As this is one of the later quests in the game's Town Improvement questline, you'll need to fulfill a couple of requirements to unlock it:

Complete the 'Upgrade the Saturday Market' Town Improvement quest
Reach Town Rank Level 70 (Emerald)

Once these are satisfied, you'll be able to pick up the 'Upgrade the Carpenter's Shop' quest from Adeline. Gather all of the requested materials to complete it, and once the shop is upgraded, new items will become available for purchase.

Among those new items is the Mini Mill, which, despite the list of requirements for unlocking it, is otherwise relatively cheap to purchase (for this stage of the game) at 5,000 x Tesserae.

How to Use Mini Mill in Fields of Mistria

Once you've purchased your Mini Mill, you can return to your farm to place it where you wish. Unlike the Barns and Coops you purchase at the Carpenter's Shop, you don't have to build this from scratch with raw materials. It also doesn't have to go in a predetermined spot like the Auto Feeder. Rather, it's simply just a matter of picking the spot you want anywhere on the farm. The only thing really to note is that the Mini Mill cannot be placed inside, only outside.

Upon placing it, the Mini Mill will then be ready to use, and it functions exactly like the Mill in the town. You can use it to make animal feed, various animal products (e.g. – butter, cheese, mayonnaise), and other ingredients like sugar, flour, and rice.

The added benefit is that the Mini Mill cuts all crafting time for these items down to zero. This means you don't have to worry about it cutting into the hours you can otherwise use for other errands and purposes. Furthermore, if you have a lot of livestock and want to ramp up production, you can purchase as many Mini Mills as you want for your farm.
