Never ending seeds for the greatest Hytale farmers.
In terms of building materials, one of the go-to ones in any survival game is wood, and Hytale has a lot of wood types for you to build with. Whether you want to build your home out of oak logs or birch is something you get to decide.
Of course, you will need to track down all the wood types first. Here is where you can find them all in Hytale.
Types of Wood You Can Build With in Hytale
There are many different types of wood in Hytale, but they can all be split into different categories. These are softwoods, hardwoods, lightwoods, darkwoods, deadwoods, goldenwoods, redwoods, and tropical woods.
Each of these woods appears in different areas of the map, and the type of wood found is dependent on the biome you are in. For instance, you will find a lot of softwoods in the Emerald Grove Zone.
Most tree types can be used to craft various structural items in Hytale. This means they can be used to craft items such as rooftops, windows, doors, and other building materials for a home.
The following log types can be used for crafting structural items:
- Amber Log
- Ash Log
- Aspen Log
- Bamboo Log
- Banyan Log
- Beech Log
- Birch Log
- Bottletree Log
- Camphor Log
- Cedar Log
- Dry Log
- Blue Fig Log
- Fir Log
- Fire Log
- Gumboab Log
- Jungle Log
- Maple Log
- Oak Log
- Palm Tree Log
- Palo Log
- Petrified Log
- Poisoned Log
- Redwood Log
- Sallow Log
- Wild Wisteria Log
It is important to note that Ice Logs can be used for crafting furniture, but they cannot be used to craft structural items like rooftops. Also, the type of items created with a log is dependent on the category the log falls into.
For instance, Sallow and Palo Logs look different, but since they are both goldenwood logs, they will create goldenwood items that look the same.
Every Wood Type Location in Hytale
Each tree type is fairly easy to find by exploring the different biomes in Hytale. Some trees also appear in sub-biomes within the standard locations, such as Azure Trees appearing in the blue forested sections of the Emerald Grove.
All trees are easier to cut down using an axe. Be sure to bring one with you to make gathering materials easier. You should also have a repair kit with you, so that you can repair your axe if it breaks.

It is also possible to obtain the logs by typing in the item ID. This can be done by opening the dialogue box and typing "/spawnitem [item_id] [amount]" to obtain the item. You can use this same trick to get other items, such as hides and ores.
