How to Get and Use the Storage Room Key in No Rest for the Wicked

Not every door is unlocked for you in No Rest for the Wicked. Some doors open from the other side, and others, like the western bridge door, require you to collect specific items to progress.

Early in the game, you might come across a door that tells you that it requires the Storage Room Key to be opened. Unfortunately, this key requires you to go on a bit of an adventure to find it.

Luckily, it shouldn't take you long to get your hands on the Storage Room Key in No Rest for the Wicked, so you can get your hands on some extra loot.

Where to Find the Storage Room Key

The Storage Room Key is required to access the Storage Room in No Rest for the Wicked. The Storage Room is a location you may come across in the early game before you reach Sacrament.

You should go out of your way to get this key, as the room ahead has an extra chest that could get you some good gear that you can enchant, or it may get you some resources to use for town upgrades.

As you progress through the beginning section of the game, you will enter a fort called Mariner's Keep. The entrance to the fort is next to the first cooking fire you can find in the game.

Upon entering the fort, make your way to the left and head up the two flights of stairs. This will lead you to the outer wall of the fort. Be sure to take out the enemies before progressing, as they can be a bit of a nuisance.

Along the wall, you will see a wooden platform with a dead body on it that you can drop down to. The body should have a blue glow on it, indicating that there is an item.

Drop onto the platform and pick up the item. This will be the Storage Room Key. After obtaining the key, you can go back around the front of the fort or use the ladders to the north to get back up.

Where to Use the Storage Room Key

Now that you have the Storage Room Key, you will want to make your way back into Mariner's Keep. Once inside, go through the open area where you accessed the staircase to get the key.

Instead of going left to the double staircase, you will follow the path to the right. This will lead you to the gate that leads out of Mariner's Keep.

The Storage Room is located just before the gate leading out of the keep. There are multiple enemies along the way, so if you are still in the early hours of the game, you will want to play it safe.

The door for the Storage Room is in the tower just before the gate. Inside the Storage Room, you will find a singular large chest. This is great because the large chest can have many valuable items inside, such as Research Papers, Embers, and lots of power weapons and armor.

This is also a good place to return later in the game to get additional gear and items.
