StarRupture Calcium Deposit and crafting

Survival games have a knack for making you collect numerous materials. You then need to figure out what all of these materials are used for, taking up precious time and making survival a bit more difficult.

StarRupture, like many other survival games, gives you a few basic materials that are used to create a lot of items. For instance, Calcium is one of the basic building blocks you will need, and it will go a long way once you have upgraded your base.

Let's break down how you can get Calcium in StarRupture, and what this material is used to create.

Collect Calcium From Meteors

There are a few basic materials that you will have access to in the early hours of StarRupture. These are Titanium, Wolfram, Helium, and the subject of this guide, Calcium.

There are a few ways to get Calcium in StarRupture. First, you can collect it by destroying meteors. You will notice that meteors are scattered all across the landscape.

Meteors are full of materials and can be used to collect nearly every type of basic building material early in the game. Calcium doesn't typically appear on the outside of a meteor, but it will be given to you automatically when you destroy a meteor.

Typically, destroying a meteor will get you up to 30 Calcium. It will also get you other materials, such as Meteorite Hearts. When Calcium does appear on the outside of a meteor, it will appear as a white chunk.

Find Calcium Chunks

Another way to obtain Calcium in the early game is by collecting it on the ground with your collector. Similar to when you find Calcium on a meteor, these chunks will appear white.

Survive and thrive in these titles that stand out from the rest.

Breaking these Calcium chunks will typically get you around 10 Calcium Ore. Of course, you won't find these very often, and the ones that you do find will typically be near meteors.

Harvest Calcium Deposits

Finally, you can get Calcium via Calcium Deposits. There are deposits of every mineral type, allowing you to get them if you use an Ore Excavator.

Calcium deposits are easy to spot as they are brighter white and stick out from the natural landscape. You can use your resource collector to harvest Calcium from these deposits until you unlock the Ore Excavator.

Once you have unlocked the Ore Excavator, you can place one on top of a deposit, hook up a rail system to it, and use drones to collect it, making the process much easier.

What is Calcium Used For?

Calcium is used for a few different building materials. These building materials include Calcium Blocks and Calcite Sheets.

After upgrading your Smelter, you can use it to create Calcium Blocks. These require two Calcium to make, and are used for building, and can be used to level up the different corporations.

Once you have unlocked the Fabricator, you can use the Calcium Blocks you have made to create Calcite Sheets. One Calcium Block is required to make a Calcite Sheet. Again, this is a building material that is used for various items around your base to help you survive.
