Rhapsody is a powerful dagger in Baldur's Gate 3 that is perfect for Rogues who want to get up close in combat.

If you have decided to play as a paladin or cleric, you might be looking for some strong holy items to use. Well, one such item can be found in chapter one, and it is called the Holy Lance Helm.

Let's break down everything you need to know about the Holy Lance Helm in Baldur's Gate 3, so you can use it effectively.

What is the Holy Lance Helm?

Baldur's Gate 3 Rosymorn Holy Lance Helm in Inventory

The Holy Lance Helm is an uncommon magical helmet in Baldur's Gate 3 that is imbued with radiant energy. Since this item is considered medium armor, you will need to be playing as a class, such as a paladin, cleric, or fighter, that can use medium armor effectively. You can also get around this by gaining medium armor proficiency via your feats.

The Holy Lance Helm has the ability called Smite the Graceless. This ability causes creatures that miss their attack rolls against you to make a dexterity saving throw. If they fail said throw, the attacking creature takes 1D4 radiant damage.

This ability makes the Holy Lance Helm a fairly good early-game defensive item, allowing you to deal damage to those who try to attack you if they miss. This makes having a higher armor class very useful as well.

On top of this, the Holy Lance Helm grants the wearer a +1 bonus to their Constitution saving throws. Anything that raises your saving throws is also good.

The Helm of Balduran is one of the best armor pieces for any fighting class in Baldur's Gate 3. Unfortunately, it is deep beneath the city.

Where to Find the Holy Lance Helm

Baldur's Gate 3 Rosymorn Holy Lance Helm Map Location

The Holy Lance Helm is located in the Rosymorn Monastery in the first act of Baldur's Gate 3. You will access this area via the mountain pass after dealing with some Githyanki.

Once you reach Rosymorn Monastery, you will have another encounter with the Githyanki. After this, proceed through the monastery to reach the rooftops.

There are multiple means of accessing the rooftops, but I prefer to take the route via the vines near the room with the stained-glass puzzle. Once you reach the rooftops, you will come face-to-face with some giant eagles.

Baldur's Gate 3 Rosymorn Monastery Rooftop Jump

After you have dealt with the eagles, proceed to coordinates X:87, Y:42. This will place you on the rooftop directly above the vines mentioned earlier. From here, jump to the lower rooftop that is to the east of you.

You will most likely take damage from this jump unless you use a spell like Feather Fall. Keep this in mind before proceeding if you are low on health.

Baldur's Gate 3 Rosymorn Monastery Rooftop Jump to Chest

After making the jump, progress east across the rooftop to find another jump at coordinates X:109, Y:39. From here, you can jump to a small section of the rooftop that has a painted chest.

Opening the painted chest at coordinates X:119, Y36 will get you the Holy Lance Helm. You do not need to worry about this chest being trapped.

You will, however, need to figure out a way to return to the upper rooftop. I used a Feather Fall Scroll to jump back into the monastery without taking damage, but there are other means of reuniting with your group.
