Linen scraps are simple pieces of cloth in Hytale, but they are extremely important for your progression in the game. There are many materials to collect in Hytale, but only a few of them are needed as the requirements to unlock new features. When it comes to linen scraps, you will need many to upgrade your Workbench to Tier 2 and unlock additional craft recipes. You also need these small pieces of cloth to make repair kits, which are useful tools to have.

Although you might find one or two while exploring, you may want to ensure you have enough to craft everything you want. To clarify what you need to do, below we explain how to get linen scraps in Hytale, showing some farming spots.

How to get linen scraps in Hytale

In Hytale, linen scraps drop from humanoid enemies, so you must defeat them and collect the material from the ground. The most commonly encountered humanoid enemies at the beginning of the game are undead, goblins, and trorks. Regardless of which you kill, only one linen scrap drops per enemy.

Trorks, undead, and goblins are prevalent in Zone 1, the Emerald Wilds, which is also the starting area for your world. We recommend using your map to spot any buildings, camps, or anything out of the ordinary as they'll usually lead you to the aforementioned enemies.

You usually find a Skeleton Fighter walking during the day or a Skeleton Archer guarding a camp, but most undead appear at night. Trorks stay in groups and are typically stationed near their camps, and we could only find goblins inside cave systems.

Where to farm linen scraps in Hytale

As mentioned, you can only obtain linen scraps by killing humanoid enemies found on the map. Because of that, the best strategy for farming linen scraps is to constantly visit camps where these enemies are usually present. Since it takes some time for enemies to respawn, rotating between camps is the most effective approach.
