To get rid of the spikes in Pragmata, you need a special item called the Lim Eraser. Once you've got it, you can finally destroy the blockades of dark blue rocks and collect the shiny loot hidden behind them. Obtaining the Lim Eraser takes more time and effort than you might expect, so if you're wondering when this wonderful ability becomes available, this guide will show you the answer.

How to get rid of the spikes in Pragmata

Almost as soon as you start your first game in Pragmata, you will stumble upon blocked pathways. The obstacles look like blue spikes with reddish sparks and are officially called "filament masses." Initially, there's no way to get around the spikes, so keep playing the game without worrying about them.

You will obtain the Lim Eraser as part of the main story near the end of the Mass Production Array (the city-like area), at the Lim Recycling Facility (Block 5). Starting from the nearest waypoint, you'll pass through a room with minor robot enemies, walk down a slope full of red lasers, and enter a room with a tall white device, as shown in the picture below. Interact with this device to obtain the Lim Eraser.

To use the Lim Eraser, approach the spikes and hold E on a keyboard, or L1/LB on a controller. The rock wall will disappear, and you'll be free to explore — beware of unfriendly robots, of course!

If you want, you can remove the spikes in previous areas. It's not required, but you'll get additional loot. For example, if you go back to the Power Distribution Center in Pragmata's Solar Power Plant and remove the spikes there, you can claim a piece of pure lunum.
