In Crimson Desert, choosing what armor to wear requires you to consider much more than just high-defensive stats. Some pieces come equipped with elemental resistance, or perks such as health regeneration or damage reduction, but you'll also be able to customize your armor further through the use of abyss cores.
For the regions of Pywel that are subject to blizzards and sub-zero temperatures, you'll need to buff your ice resistance stat considerably if you wish to survive.
Luckily for you, the frostcursed armor will not only have you looking like Sauron from Lord of the Rings, it has the best ice resistance stats I've seen thus far.
In this guide, I'll show you how to acquire every piece of the frostcursed armor set with ease.
How to Get the Frostcursed Armor Set
This five-piece set is surprisingly easy to get your hands on, as only one of the locations you'll be visiting will require you to engage in combat.
While four of the armor pieces are located fairly close to one another, you'll still be doing a substantial amount of travelling, so let's get started with the frostcursed plate boots which give you a 2.0% climb speed multiplier.
How to Get the Frostcursed Plate Boots
The frostcursed plate boots are located in the Well of Tragedy Grotto (seen above), which is located on the Denn River, North of Demeniss, and South-West of Deadfire Mountain.
Travel to this location and locate the waterfall seen in the picture above. To get behind a waterfall, equip a sword and use your pierce attack to push your way through.
Waterfalls that have a secret area hidden behind them are easily identified by the inukshuks (stack of small stones) placed infront of them, which you can see directly beside Kliff in the picture above.
Pierce through the waterfall, and you'll find a glowing chest where the plate boots are located, seen above.
How to Get the Frostcursed Plate Helm
The frostcursed plate helm can be found in the chattering rocks location (seen above), which is located East of Drakesfall Gorge, and North of Demeniss.
In this area, look for the structure seen above. The arrow highlights a door covered by vines, but you'll be able to walk through the vines to discover a treasure chest that contains the frostcursed plate helm, seen below.
How to Get the Frostcursed Plate Gloves
The Denn River appears to be ripe with great loot, as the gloves for this set can be found in the Lunar Spirit Grotto, seen in the picture above.
Find the waterfall marked by an inukshuk, seen above, and pierce through the water to find yet another glowing treasure chest, seen below.
How to Get the Frostcursed Plate Cloak
Gear up for combat, Greymane. The frostcursed plate cloak is located at the Sanctum of Expiation (seen above), which, depending on how far you are into the game, may still be under the control of the Antumbra order.
If you haven't cleansed this sanctum yet, there will be a lot of enemies present, including flying mages, so be sure to bring arrows and find cover inside the building while you clear them out.
To get the frostcursed plate cloak, you'll need to locate a small tunnel just outside the main building. The area where you'll find the tunnel entrance is highlighted by the arrows in the pictures above.
Once you've found the entrance, you'll need to use your blinding light ability to burn the vines blocking the path, seen above.
Crawl through the opening, and take a right (seen above), and you'll find the frostcursed plate cloak in a treasure chest around the corner.
How to Get the Frostcursed Plate Armor
Last, but definitely not least, the frostcursed plate armor can be found in the Mistshard Cave, which is North of Deadfire Mountain, seen above.
Enter the cave through the waterfall seen above. The entrance is on the right-hand side of the waterfall, marked by an inukshuk.
When you pierce through the waterfall at this location, it may appear to be a dead-end at first, as there will be a large boulder blocking your path. Use your force palm ability to break-through.
Once you've broken through the boulder, open the treasure chest seen above to obtain the frostcursed plate armor. This cave is also a great location to mine gold ore.
With all five frostcursed armor pieces equipped, you'll have an impressive level 13 ice resistance, as well as some damage reduction, health regeneration, a contribution XP buff, and a climb speed multiplier, making it an extremely powerful set overall.
