How to Get the Spectral Halberd in Esoteric Ebb

With so many weapons available in Esoteric Ebb, it can be hard to keep track of them all. Depending on the build you're going for, it can be a good idea to hunt down some more specific weapons.

One of these weapons is the Spectral Halberd. It can be a little difficult to get your hands on, and you'll have to complete a few objectives before you're able to snag this ethereal weapon in this DnD game.

This guide will cover how to go about finding this weapon, including some of the other things you should do before grabbing this weapon. It can be an important part of your journey while you're looking for the entrance to the Undercoast.

Where to Find the Spectral Halberd?

To find this weapon, you'll be investigating the same wall painting you need to go to for Azkel's quest. While you don't have to finish Azkel's quest to get the weapon, it's easier to do their quest first.

To get this weapon to appear, you'll need to grab a Jacinth gem from another part of the City Below. Once you've grabbed that, you'll have to make your way to the painting and put the gem into the painting.

Finding the Jacinth Gem

Getting a Jacinth gem can be pretty dangerous, so you might want to grab some apples or prepare to cure wounds in case you end up taking a lot of damage. The Jacinth gem is hidden in a room with a large minotaur statue near the sewers.

If you head south from the arched entrance by the sewers, you should find a room with a red light coming out of it. Going inside will trigger the event and force you into a Monty Python-esque situation with the statue.

No matter what choices you make, you'll end up in the same spot, dangling over a pit of spikes with Snell on your back. If you've put points into Strength and Constitution, it's pretty easy to get out of.

Now that you've got the gem, you can make your way back to the Shrine. There are two ways to get there, but you'll have to have defeated the Roper to get through one, so heading through the Roots is a much easier strategy.

Getting the Spectral Halberd

This part is actually rather simple. Once you make your way back to the Shrine, you can interact with the painting there. You'll have a few dialogue options, but you can basically move right to insert the Jacinth into the painting.

This will trigger a trap that you and Snell will have a short discussion about, but luckily, you're totally fine. Following that, the Spectral Halberd will appear along with a large skull that falls to the floor.

All you have to do is interact with the Spectral Halberd as it floats there, and it'll be added to your arsenal of weapons that you're accumulating. This weapon fits in great with an intelligence build or can just provide some nice bonuses in case you're tired of failing every intelligence roll.

Rewards

For all your hard work, you'll earn some good experience points, the Spectral Halberd, and another item. Completing this can be a good way to take care of Azkel's quest at the same time, which will grant you Detect Secret as well.

You'll get the following items from finding the Spectral Halberd:

• Spectral Halberd — +1 Intelligence, +1 Wisdom
• Incesne Bowl — +1 Intelligence, +1 Wisdom, -1 Charm, -1 Constitution, Recovers a 1st-level spell slot every third hour
• Jacinth — +1 Strength, -1 Intelligence

This weapon can be a great addition to your loadout, and can even help you as you enter the Pillar of Jor. It may not be the absolute best weapon in the game, but it is very helpful, especially in the right build.
