Metroid Prime 4 How To Get To Volt Forge

Jake brings two decades of experience with him, having covered major industry events, breaking news, one-on-one interviews, and more.

When he's not playing World of Warcraft, he's usually on the hunt for good food and a refreshing beer to wash it down.

In typical Metroid Prime fashion, Metroid Prime 4 has you navigating through a variety of locations on the planet Viewros.

Once you obtain the first Mass Teleport Key after beating Carvex in Fury Green, it's time to move on to the next location: Volt Forge.

However, you're not shot into Volt Forge; you're thrown into the desert that is Sol Valley, which begs the question: how do you get to Volt Forge? Our guide will go over the steps needed to continue with Metroid Prime 4's story.

Don't worry, you're leaving Myles behind in Fury Green.

Metroid Prime 4 Navigating Through Sol Valley Volt Forge

As you're thrown into Sol Valley, this infamous desert looks like a gigantic open-world environment. In reality, your next point of interest isn't that far away. Make your way to the settlement in the distance, heading down the path and to the gate. Once you approach it, the gate will open up.

Walk into the clearing where a cutscene will trigger, introducing waves of enemies designed to defend Chrono Tower. These guys mean business, as your BFF Myles will say over the radio. Thankfully, you're the famous bounty hunter Samus Aran, so they're no match for you.

If you're looking to 100% the game, make sure you scan everything!

From here, move toward the building in front of you. On the right, jump up the ledges, and you'll see an open exhaust port. Use your morph ball to enter it, and you'll be transported inside.

From here, walk down the hall to your right, where you'll notice glass that's asking to be broken. Shoot a missile at it, and jump on through.

Once you're on the other side of the glass, you'll be able to walk down another hallway, but you don't want to do that. Instead, on your left, you should see an exhaust port that is also asking to be broken. Shoot another missile to open up a path for your morph ball and enter.

From here, you'll drop down into a long hallway that seems made for some sort of motorcycle. Sadly, we don't have one just yet. You'll see the front door, which is waiting to be scanned, but it can't be opened. Instead, turn around and walk down the tunnel until a cutscene triggers.

After watching Samus go for a jog, you'll regain control of her. Once this happens, look to your left; you'll see a platform with some boxes in front of a small tunnel.

Shoot the boxes and enter said tunnel while in your morph ball. It's time to go rolling for an adventure that will lead you directly to Volt Forge, the next section of Metroid Prime 4.

Vi-O-La Bike Metroid Prime 4

You'll be dropped into a platform, but don't worry, it's a pretty linear path from here. Scan and open the gate, which leads you to what resembles an aircraft carrier that has plenty of scannable objects.

Once you're done with that, open the next gate, which will lead you into a room with the Vi-O-La Bike front and center, ready to be acquired. There's a catch, though; you'll need a new suit to be able to start her up, and that's a whole other story on how to obtain it.
