Since StarRupture is a survival game, you will want to get your hands on every resource in the game. This includes things like Calcium, Helium, Titanium, and Wolfram Ore. Unfortunately, these resources won't help you defend yourself.

StarRupture: How to Get and Drink Water
You need to know how to get and drink water in StarRupture if you want to survive more than a day.
If you want to defend yourself on this hostile alien planet, you will need some weapons. After all, Vermin are crawling out of the ground left and right, and if you don't have a weapon on hand, you will quickly perish to the hordes.
Let's break down everything you need to know about getting weapons and defending yourself in StarRupture.
How to Unlock Weapons
There are various types of weapons that you will unlock in StarRupture, with the first of them being the UPP-7 REAPER. This is the starting pistol, and the only weapon that is unlocked by increasing your level with a company.
The starting pistol is given to you upon reaching level two with the Griffits Blue Corporation. Once unlocked, you will always have this pistol on your person.
Along with the UPP-7 REAPER, there are three other firearms you can get your hands on. These include:
- MAR-9 PHANTOM Assault Rifle
- SLAMS-12 Shotgun
- M175 GRIM Machine Gun
These weapons are unlocked via the Equipment Upgrade Station obtained by reaching level four with the Griffits Blue Corporation. Once you have unlocked this workstation, you can build it inside your habitat.
With the Equipment Upgrade Station built, interact with it to bring up the weapons menu. You will see that you can have two weapons equipped at one time.
Select the weapon slot you wish to equip a weapon. After this, select the weapon to change which weapon is active. From here, you can equip any weapon you have unlocked.
Unlocking the machine gun, assault rifle, and shotgun requires you to spend War Bonds. Each weapon has a different cost. For instance, the shotgun will cost you 85 War Bonds.
Finally, there is a grenade you can unlock. This is automatically unlocked by reaching level three with the Griffits Blue Corporation. After it is unlocked, you can deploy it by pressing the G key.
Obtaining War Bonds
Unlocking most of the weapons requires you to spend War Bonds. There are a couple of ways to obtain this currency type.
First, you will automatically obtain some War Bonds by leveling up the Griffits Blue Corporation. They are awarded to you at levels five, seven, and ten.
The second method of obtaining War Bonds is by collecting them from abandoned outposts. These rundown bases are filled with Vermin, so you will want to have your weapons ready, but they offer a good amount of War Bonds if you rummage around the various containers.

Crafting Ammo
Every weapon requires ammo. There are multiple types of ammo in the game, and each one of them can be crafted.
Each type of ammo can be crafted at the Item Printer, with each type requiring different materials to make. For instance, the pistol ammo requires Basic Building material, and the standard ammo requires Basic Building Material and Wolfram Powder, which is crafted using Wolfram Ore.
As with all of your structures, you will need to make sure that you know how to connect power to your base if you want to run the Item Printer.
Upgrading Your Weapons
Each of the weapons can also be upgraded. This is done using the Equipment Upgrade Station.
After unlocking this workbench, interact with it to bring up the weapons menu. From here, select the weapon you wish to upgrade.
Underneath the weapon, you will see various parts that can be upgraded. For instance, the assault rifle can be equipped with a different barrel, sight, magazine, and stock.
Like with unlocking the weapons, you will need to spend War Bonds to unlock these weapon upgrades.
