How to hit the kite in Mina the Hollower

To the east of Ossex in Mina the Hollower, you'll find a kid flying their kite over a river. However, the kite looks a little suspicious as there is a box sticking out of it. The only natural thing to do would be to hit it out of the sky, but your normal weapons don't seem to reach it. Loot awaits for you inside, it's just up to you to grab it.

How to hit the kite in Mina the Hollower

Just north of the Eastern Heath bridge in Mina the Hollower, you'll find a lad using a green kite. They love their expensive kite, but, as there is an item hidden inside their kite, you must take it down.

To hit the kite, you need to use the Volt Hatchet sidearm on the other side of the river. Regular weapons cannot reach it even if you jump, so instead, you'll need to grab the Volt Hatchet, which travels higher into the air. Additionally, you need to go to the other side of the river as the kite never flies behind the lad. Wait for the kite to hover above the ground, and hit it with your Volt Hatchet to make it drop safely. Watch the kite's shadow if you're having a hard time judging the kite's position. If it falls into the water, head south or north into the next screen and come back to see the lad flying a new kite.

After you hit the kite, it'll drop the Windfall Charm, which will restore plasma whenever you pick up joules. Additionally, foes hit by sidearms can now drop joules.

Where to find a Volt Hatchet in Mina the Hollower

A Volt Hatchet can be found relatively close by. From the lad with the kite, head south two screens, and then go west once. Hit the candle on the wall, which will drop a Volt Hatchet.

How to get to the other side of the river

If you haven't been to the other side of the river, the easiest way to get there is to grab a kear and head west from the lad flying the kite. Then, burrow under the gate in the northwest corner, where you'll need to use your kear to unlock the gate ahead of you.

Follow the path to the right, and head inside the cave. Here, you'll need to platform your way to the northeastern exit, while avoiding the moving obstacles. Then, platform over the gaps and obstacles again until you reach the south exit. Make sure to go down the stairs rather than fall into the water. This will place you directly across from the kite-flying lad, and you can knock it down with the Volt Hatchet.
