To unlock accessory slots in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, you need to head to the Temple of Trials. It’s in the Age of Safekeeping, further west of the large tree with the gravestone. It’s almost impossible to miss since it’s also fairly close to the first Doorway Ruin that you visit as part of the main story.

Here’s what you need to know about the location:

The Temple of Trials has several rooms/levels populated by all sorts of enemies. Your goal is to defeat all the hostiles.
Enemies don’t drop anything, but you can break objects like vases and pots to pick up restoratives. Be sure to heal up before taking out the last target, since doing so automatically leads you to the next challenge level.
While there’s no strict time limit, you do earn more Magicite Fragments the faster you complete each task. The tiers are platinum, gold, and silver.
Upon completing the challenges, you’ll receive a Warrior’s Mark key item, which grants +1 extra accessory slot.
Ending a run that’s in progress will set you all the way back to the first level. Conversely, if you wish to redo the challenge rooms after clearing the whole thing, you’ll earn Tul instead of Magicite Fragments.

Temple of Trials challenges and the Warrior’s Mark

Here’s what you can expect from the Temple of Trials in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales:

Level 1:
- Platinum: 8x Magicite Fragments
- Gold: 6x Magicite Fragments
- Silver: 4x Magicite Fragments
- Tips: The body of water will slow you down. Try to jump and glide to nearby ledges using the Hoverer’s Cape.
Level 2:

- Tips: The pots on the right explode when ignited. There’s also an area with quicksand to the left. Equip the Expeardient Charm if you have it so you don’t get pulled.

- Tips: The area that you traverse is akin to a conveyor belt. Walk in the right direction to speed up your movement.
Level 2:

- Tips: Dark goo spews forth from the purple pots when destroyed. The liquid slows you down significantly.
Level 3:

- Tips: This is one of the most frustrating levels in the Temple of Trials in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. That’s because the platforms fall down if you stand on them for more than three seconds. Stay mobile while battling your foes to survive. Oh, and do equip the Defalling Charm if you have it so you don’t take fall damage.
Level 4:
- Platinum: 25x Magicite Fragments
- Gold: 18x Magicite Fragments
- Silver: 12x Magicite Fragments
- Tips: You’re facing the Rathomobile boss here. Toss a couple of Bombs to break its shield, then wail away on it. Faie’s Copycat ability, used in conjunction with your Scythe and Boomerang weapons, should deal tremendous damage.
Level 5:
- Platinum: 25x Magicite Fragments
- Gold: 18x Magicite Fragments
- Silver: 12x Magicite Fragments
- Tips: This one’s fairly easy since most of the frog enemies are bunched up together. Take out the Flutist Frogs first to disable the shielding effect.
Level 6:
- Platinum: 25x Magicite Fragments
- Gold: 18x Magicite Fragments
- Silver: 12x Magicite Fragments
- Tips: This is a darkened room with most enemies at the sides. Use your Scythe to land critical hits.
Level 7:
- Platinum: 40x Magicite Fragments
- Gold: 30x Magicite Fragments
- Silver: 19x Magicite Fragments
- Tips: The Lord of the Maw boss shouldn’t pose too much of an issue. Toss a Bomb when it tries to swallow you whole to stun it. Then do your usual high-damage routine with the help of Faie.
Level 8:
- Platinum: 75x Magicite Fragments
- Gold: 55x Magicite Fragments
- Silver: 40x Magicite Fragments
- Tips: You’ll face the Rouser of Destruction boss here, which might pose problems. Do everything you can to destroy its ice spike armor quickly--i.e. toss ice cubes at it or have Faie flutter around while Ignite is active. There’s a 3:25-minute threshold to reach the Platinum tier, but that’s cutting it close, especially if you make mistakes.

Regardless of how you fared, you’ll receive the Seasoned Warrior’s Mark. This nets you yet another accessory slot.
