In Pokémon Legends: Z-A's Mega Dimension DLC, you'll be tasked with making the Bad Dreams Cruller, a special donut that requires very specific stats to make. You'll need to use some high-powered berries to make this very special creation. This request will show up during Hyperspace Mission 11 and is required to progress in the story.
If you're tired of pushing your brain cells together to try to figure out what combination of berries makes the Bad Dreams Cruller, have no fear, we're here to help. Below, we list a few different recipe combinations for the Bad Dreams Cruller in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Corbeau provides you with the recipe, but if you missed what he said, here are the requirements for this special donut:
- 310 points in sweet
- 310 points in sour
- 100 points in spicy
- 40 points in bitter
- 40 points in fresh
To make the Bad Dreams Cruller, you'll need to tell Ansha specifically that you want to try making this special donut, which should be the first option when you talk to her. That being said, no, you cannot just make this donut willy-nilly without having this mission active, as you'll also need a special ingredient that Corbeau gives you.
There are a ton of different combinations you can use to make this donut, with many recipes using this as a base:
- 1 Hyper Coba Berry
- 3 Hyper Tanga Berries
- 3 Hyper Kasib Berries
From here, you can use any berry that gives the remaining bitter and fresh points, like a Hyper Yache Berry, a Hyper Kelpsy Berry, a Hyper Sitrus Berry — the list goes on. You'll know that your donut meets the qualifications, as little checkmarks will appear below each stat on the chart in the bottom right corner.
However, if you're lacking Hyper Tanga and Kasib Berries (as they can be kind of annoying to find specifically), you can use this recipe, which uses less of those berries:
- 1 Hyper Qualot Berry
- 1 Hyper Chople Berry
- 1 Hyper Shuca Berry
- 1 Hyper Coba Berry
- 2 Hyper Tanga Berries
- 2 Hyper Kasib Berries
Image: Game Freak/Nintendo, The Pokémon Company via PolygonUnfortunately, finding Hyper Berries is somewhat random. You get them from going into the various Hyperspace portals and breaking open floating Poké Balls. This part of the game can be a frustrating grind due to the randomness, but here are some tips to help you collect berries faster:
- Use a Pokémon that can fly to easily attack out-of-reach Poké Balls.
- Make sure to complete all three objectives in each Hyperspace pocket to get the big golden Bonus Ball to spawn, as this will yield a ton of berries.
- Based on our testing, it seems that the further the berry is down the list of ingredients, the more it will show up in higher-star portals. For example, we grabbed quite a few Hyper Kasib Berries quite quickly from four-star portals, but this may just be good luck on our side.
That being said, if you're running low on specific berries, let this serve as a lesson for future donut endeavors, as there's quite a few more donuts that require special stats. It's best to keep a handful of each Hyper Berry just in case you'll need them.
