How to Repair the Bronze Gate in Starsand Island

Hidden secrets lie in the Moonlit Forest on Starsand Island, and they are more than just minerals like Iron or Magnetite. Perhaps you have wandered around and opened up a few of the many pathways leading through the forest.

If you have progressed far enough through the Moonlit Forest, you might have encountered a massive gate that blocked your path, preventing you from accessing the next area. This Bronze Gate requires a specific key to access it, which is broken up into two parts.

Let's break down how to open the Bronze Gate in Starsand Island by obtaining the Ruins Key.

Where is the Bronze Gate?

The Bronze Gate is located in the Mural Valley section of the Moonlit Forest. This is the sixth section of the forest that you will encounter as you explore the area.

After reaching the camp in the Mural Valley, go up the stairs. At the top, there will be an open area with a massive gate. This is the Bronze Gate.

When you inspect the Bronze Gate, it will tell you that it requires the Ruins Key to unlock. This key has been broken up into a left section and a right section, requiring you to obtain both if you want to complete the key and unlock the door to progress through the forest.

Ruins Key (Right) Location

The Bronze Gate will bar your progress through the Moonlit Forest until you complete some of the quests for Zephyria. Zephyria is the exploration trainer and the one you will learn important information from, such as how to craft a bow and the basics of combat.

Progress through Zephyria's questline until you have accepted the "Become an Intermediate Explorer" quest. During this time, Zephyria will give you the right half of the Ruins Key.

This quest will also task you with obtaining the right side of the key and unlocking the Bronze Gate in the Moonlit Forest.

Ruins Key (Left) Location

The left side of the Ruins Key is located in a chest in the Moonlit Forest. Specifically, it is located in a chest that appears during the intermediate adventurer's quest for Zephyria in the Mural Valley section of the area.

From the Bronze Gate, run down the stairs like you are going to the camp in the Mural Valley. If you have spawned in at the Mural Valley, stay next to the camp for this next part.

Directly in front of the campsite area, you will see a broken stone bridge that leads to a wooden platform. This is an elevator that you can use to reach the river at the base of the cliff.

Stand on the elevator for a little while, and it will bring you down to the bottom of the cliff. It takes about 5 seconds for the platform to start moving.

When the elevator reaches the bottom of the cliff, you will see a chest nearby. Open this chest, and you will be given the left side of the Ruins Key.

You don't need to visit a worktable to create the key. As long as you have both halves of the key, you will be able to open the Bronze Gate.
