One of the best things about Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is the creativity people are utilizing with their Miis.
However, that creativity is, for the most part, only up to you. As I mentioned in my review, you're not able to download Miis online from something similar to a custom character creator you'd see in other games.

It's incredibly disappointing for sure, but also on brand for Nintendo. Plus, maybe they have a good reason; I've seen some of the Miis you're making online. Shame on you.
All hope is not lost, though, as you are able to share Miis locally with friends or family. Even though it's not necessarily apparent how to share Miis with others, our guide will cover the basics on how to get it done.
How to Enable Local Play to Connect With Others
First things first, in order to share Miis with people locally, you'll need to enable local play.
The good news is that it's a super simple process that does not require friend codes or jumping through any hoops.
To start, you'll want to open up your game's menu and then select "Local Play." This is where you'll enter a quasi-lobby that will allow you to either look for other players or select other players who are trying to find someone to connect with. If you're acting as the "host," just sit and wait for others to find you. Otherwise, if someone else is the host, select "look for another player."
Once you're connected, you'll have the option to share creations or Miis with your friends. In order to share Miis, you'll want to make sure you select Miis.
Once you've told Tomodachi Life that you want to locally share Miis, it's honestly a super simple process.
You're immediately brought to a menu of all of your Miis living on your island. It's here that you'll be able to select which Mii you'd like to transfer over. Simply select your desired Mii, and it will transfer to your friend's island.
"But Jake," you might be asking. "What if it turns out I don't like my friend's Mii and want to delete them?" That's also an easy task.
Open up the Residents option from your in-game menu and select the Mii you want to move out. In the upper-right corner of the screen, there's an option labeled "Delete Mii." You'll have to pay a moving fee, but if you truly want them gone, it's worth every penny.
