Among that loot are several new mounts and minions, which are consistently some of the most popular types of loot in the game. If you're curious how to go about adding these to your collection, here's how to unlock all the mounts and minions in Final Fantasy 14's Patch 7.4 update.
How to Start Patch 7.4 in FFXIV
7.4 is one of the last major content updates in Final Fantasy XIV's Dawntrail expansion, as the main story has since wrapped and "post-expansion" content is now well underway.
To start the MSQ events of 7.4, you'll need to head to Solution Nine. The initial quest is called 'With the Winds' and is available from Alphinaud at (X:11.9, Y:6.3). You can fast travel straight to it from the main aetheryte via the Resolution mini-aetheryte. Remember that you can also see the exact location of the quest (or any objective within it) via the MSQ drop menu in the top-left corner of your HUD.
Meanwhile, to kick off the third and final arc of the Arcadion Raids, you'll also find the initial quest ('Feral Fandom') in Solution Nine, specifically from Yaana at (X:22.2, Y:16.6). Note that the Savage version of these raids will arrive on January 6, 2026 with Patch 7.41.
All Mounts Released in Patch 7.4 (How to Unlock)
How to Unlock Every Mount in Patch 7.4
In all, there's a total of five new mounts to discover and unlock between Patch 7.4 and Patch 7.41. They vary from Unreal Trial rewards to PvP achievements, and most of them must be earned via their respective challenges rather than bought on the Market Board. While perhaps not the rarest mounts in the game, they're still worthy additions to any collection.
The Lowrider T1RANT mount is exclusive to the AAC Heavyweight M4 (Savage) raid, and will become available to obtain starting January 6, 2026. Also, note that more mounts will become available in Patch 4.5 (and beyond), so there will still be plenty to look forward to.
