As the Dawntrail expansion enters its finale phase in Final Fantasy 14, the final patch cycle is bringing with it plenty of content to help start tying up various storylines and bringing closure to some adventures your Warrior of Light has been on for a while now. After all, Evercold is now practically right around the corner. One such adventure is the mystifying time jump of a journey you've taken through Jeuno, accompanied by franchise familiar faces such as Prishe and formidable foes that hearken back to fellow MMO, Final Fantasy 11.

To unlock the Windhurst: The Third Walk alliance raid in Final Fantasy 14, start by heading to Tuliyollal. Head to the east side of the city and seek out the NPC named Landsguard Messenger at (X:16.2, Y:3.9). Speak to them, and they'll provide you with The Hollow Promise quest. Follow the objectives in the quest back to Jeuno via Yak'Tel, and by the end, the alliance raid will officially unlock for you inside the Duty Finder.

Note that you first need to complete the previous alliance raid in the series, San d'Oria: The Second Walk, if you haven't already, and the "Apocalypse Night" Chronicles of a New Era quest. Windhurst represents the third and final alliance raid in the Final Fantasy 11-inspired Echoes of Vana'diel series.

Once you've completed the raid and turned in the quest, make sure to pick up one more quest from Alxaal in Jeuno that includes an emotional sendoff to the raid series, along with some extra Orchestrion rewards and a Framer's Kit.

Additionally, coffers in this raid also include music sheets that you can later trade in Jeuno for Orchestrion Rolls, along with a Prishe minion and a very on-point 'Cackle' emote inspired by Shantotto herself.

Furthermore, you'll automatically receive a token for clearing the raid called a Ranperre Coin. Along with coins from the other two raids in the series (Ordelle Coin, Montiont Coin), you can use them to exchange with Uah'shepya at the Nexus Arcade in Solution Nine for special upgrade materials. These are found at the bottom of the 'Sublime Curiosities' menu, and they include Thundersteeped Twine (upgrades gear pieces) and Thundersteeping Glaze (upgrades accessory pieces).

Once you have these materials, you can then visit Theone at the same counter in the Nexus Arcade and exchange them for augmented 790 Bygone Brass gear. Note that Sacks of Nuts collected from defeating A-Rank Hunt Marks (Dawntrail, Endwalker, and Shadowbringers) can also be exchanged for these gear upgrade materials, if you want to speed up the process. Either way, these upgrades can provide some very helpful buffs if you're looking to tackle challenging trials and other endgame battle content.
