How to use Resetti's Reset Service in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

1 week ago 5

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 update has finally given Resetti more to do than operating the very unfrequently used Island Rescue Service. The ornery mole now runs a special Reset Service, which can drastically reduce the time players need to spend when remodeling their island.

In this Animal Crossing: New Horizons Reset Service guide for the 3.0 update, we'll explain everything you need to know about how to unlock the new service, how to use it, and the limitations placed on the mole's power.

As far as our team can tell, the only prerequisite for unlocking Resetti's Reset service is downloading the New Horizons 3.0 update. Once the updated game launches, Resetti can be found wandering around the player's island. He'll introduce himself and his Reset Service, and it will be usable from that point onward.

To use the Reset Service, players need to speak to Isabelle at Resident Services, then select the option to call the service. The first time players use the service, it's free, but after that it will cost 60,000 bells per use. However, this payment entitles players to use Resetti's service as much as they want to on their island for an entire day.

Once Isabelle has gotten in contact with Resetti, he'll once again be wandering around somewhere on the island. Speak to him, and he will give three different resetting options: the entire island, just the beach, or a specific area selected by the player. If the player selects the third option, Resetti will give them a transceiver to summon him once they've chosen an area. The actual dimensions of the custom reset area — which measures 10x10 squares — can't be adjusted, only its placement can. Everything reset during use of the service will be sent to players' storage, except for flowers, which they can opt to destroy instead.

Though Resetti's service is powerful, there are still limitations to what the mole can and can't reset. Resetti also will not perform his services during island events like festivals.
