‘I Don’t Wanna See Anymore G*d D*mn r/tomodachilife On This Subreddit ANYMORE!’ – Rupaul’s Drag Race Subreddit Is Fed Up With Tomodachi Life

1 hour ago 2

Posting clips and images from Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has taken over a number of subreddits since the game launched earlier this month, thanks to the ability to make characters from basically any game, book, movie, show, or reality interact with each other in highly memeable ways. But one group is simply NOT having the endless Tomodachi posting, and it’s a group you might not expect: fans of Rupaul’s Drag Race.

As posted to the Rupaul’s Drag Race subreddit yesterday by the community mods, it looks like Tomodachi Life posting is off the runway, alongside “fantasy seasons, reposts, poor titles, fancasts, and low-effort crossposts.” In the subreddit’s defense, Drag Race is currently in the “off-season,” which means there’s not a whole lot of new information for the community to chat about. It’s not shocking, then, that Tomodachi Life players who also enjoy the show would get a little goofy with things, but I imagine it would get pretty annoying for a community created for serious discussion of a show to suddenly be inundated with memes that violate the sub’s rules on “low-effort, off-topic, or fantasy season posts.”

Most of the posts have been removed, but I managed to dredge up a couple of really well-made Miis:

The mod post concludes by noting that it’s expressly calling out Tomodachi Life purely due to the excess of posts, but does seem to allow for an exception if the posts are “really good” or “posted on shitpost tuesday.” Good ol’ Shitpost Tuesday.

Meanwhile, over at the Tomodachi Life subreddit, everyone’s amused and mostly understanding, even pointing out that the flood of Tomodachi posting seems to have impacted other subreddits as well. They also accurately point out that the mod post’s seemingly harsh title is in fact a good-natured Rupaul’s Drag Race reference:

Keep your Tomodachi Life posting to Tomodachi Life zones, people. Or save it for Shitpost Tuesday…hey wait! That’s today! Well then, Tomodachi away, friends.
