Jake brings two decades of experience with him, having covered major industry events, breaking news, one-on-one interviews, and more.

When he's not playing World of Warcraft, he's usually on the hunt for good food and a refreshing beer to wash it down.

One of the most iconic parts of any James Bond movie is the song that plays during the opening credits.

007 First Light, from Hitman developer IO Interactive, is no different and will pay homage, with award-winning artist Lana Del Ray slated to sing the game's title track. This confirms a rumor that popped up late last year.

It's being written by David Arnold, who has an extensive history with the Bond franchise. Arnold has scored our Bond films (The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale, and Quantum of Solace), as well as co-writing the main themes for The World Is Not Enough ("The World Is Not Enough" by Garbage) and Casino Royale ("You Know My Name" by Chris Cornell).

Arnold said that the upcoming track for 007 First Light will join "a long line of genre-defining songs." Arnold also talked about how excited he is to work with Lana Del Ray. He calls her "an artist who brought elegance, atmosphere, and her totally unique character to this piece, which I hope will open the world of Bond to a whole new audience." Del Ray is best known for the songs "Young And Beautiful" and "Summertime Sadness."

IO Interactive Hakan Abrak also commented on the matter.

It’s a joy to watch two extraordinary talents like Lana Del Rey and David Arnold combine forces, the result feels instantly ‘Bond’ while still bringing a fresh identity for 007 First Light. Bond’s return to gaming is a landmark moment for us at IO Interactive, and having a title song of this quality makes it even more special.

Despite the recent tumultuous history of the James Bond franchise in the realm of video games, 007 First Light doesn't have the pressure of trying to make a successful game adaptation. We already have GoldenEye 007 for that, along with plenty of other cult classic games.

However, it's been a bit of a rough go recently for Bond fans. Despite the critical and box office success of the Daniel Craig era, we're now approaching five years since the release of the final Daniel Craig film, No Time to Die.

There's no need for a beefy PC to play 007 First Light.

At some point, we'll see a new actor take up the iconic mantle, but that's a process that seems to be taking its sweet time. We know that Denis Villeneuve will direct the upcoming Amazon reboot, but beyond that, things are up in the air. Jacob Elordi, Callum Turner, and Aaron-Taylor Johnson have all been rumored for the role.

For now, 007 First Light can serve not only as a stopgap between the Bond films but also as the possible launch of an alternate timeline that shows how Bond obtained his 00 agent status. 007 First Light will feature a cavalcade of iconic characters, including Bond himself, M, Moneypenny, and Q.
