League Classic release time in your server's time zone

League Classic is sending League of Legends back to the past on Wednesday, July 29.

Players will be able to experience the old days of League as champions, items, runes, masteries, and even the map will be reverted to their previous versions. Typically, you can expect League of Legends updates when the patch goes live, but Classic won't be available right away. Instead, it'll be released at the same time around the world.

What time does League Classic release on your server?

League Classic will launch a little differently than usual. Rather than going live at the same time as the patch, it will be released globally at 11 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 29, for every server (minus China). Here's when League Classic will go live in your time zone:

• 8 a.m. PDT on Wednesday, July 29 for the west coast of North America
• 11 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 29 for the east coast of North America
• 12 p.m. BRT on Wednesday, July 29 for Brazil
• 4 p.m. BST on Wednesday, July 29 for the U.K.
• 5 p.m. CEST on Wednesday, July 29 for western Europe
• 12 a.m. JST on Thursday, July 30 for Japan
• 1 a.m. AEST on Thursday, July 30 for the east coast of Australia

League Classic, explained

League Classic is bringing back the "greatest hits" of the early seasons. Veteran players will be able to relive their nostalgic memories, while newer players can see a bit of history. The "back to the past" game mode uses Season 3 as a framework with champions using their old kits and the map looking like its old self. However, it won't be a one-to-one replica. Instead, it will be a bit more modernized. It'll include a bunch of quality of life updates that have come to League of Legends over the past 17 years.

As League Classic is returning to a previous era, a majority of the new champions will not be coming back, as they didn't exist. Classic will start out with 60 champions, 40 being the original and 20 being handpicked. Champions will be added through The Council, which is essentially the League Classic player base. Players will be able to vote for which champions join Classic next. In the past, champs would come out every two weeks, but in Classic, champs might be joining more frequently.

In the past, champions were without a doubt "broken." In League Classic, champions will be slightly adjusted, but if anything is extremely overpowered, you won't have to worry about it for long, as Classic will be receiving its own updates. Classic will have its own development team, and it won't follow in the exact footsteps that League of Legends did in the past.
