Mina the Hollower Is About to Launch Some Real-Life Trinkets

If there is one thing gamers love just as much as (if not sometimes even more than) buying a video game, it is buying merchandise for a game they already love. That is especially true when it comes to titles that feel like instant classics from the moment they drop.

And it seems Yacht Club Games knows this all too well. After winning over the world with a fantastic universe and a mountain of Shovel Knight plushies, they have decided to give that same royal treatment to their latest adventure: Mina the Hollower. So if you have been itching to get your hands on some of Mina's physical gear off the screen, you are in luck.

A Hollower’s Bounty of Physical Collectibles

Just like Shovel Knight, Mina the Hollower is a game dripping with personality. It follows a renowned Hollower tasked with rescuing a mysterious, cursed island filled with bizarre characters, deadly beastly bosses, and a treasure trove of powerful Trinkets to collect – and yes, this is one of those games where even the most basic items instantly become iconic.

With that in mind, the developers announced this Thursday that they have officially partnered up with the boutique physical media masters at iam8bit to bring a stunning collection straight to your desk.

This brand-new physical lineup pulls together some of the coolest elements of the game’s aesthetic and audio identity, giving hardcore fans plenty of reasons to get excited (and a bit worried about their savings, of course, and my own wallet is already looking at me with heavy suspicion).

First up in the lineup is the Mina the Hollower 3xLP Vinyl Set, priced at $64.99. Pressed on a gorgeous Velvet Purple Splatter Vinyl, this set packs the entire chip-tastic soundtrack composed by industry icons Jake Kaufman and Yuzo Koshiro. To make it even cooler, the album sleeve features retro-inspired zoetrope artwork designed by Nimit Malava that showcases Mina in action, and it even includes a pair of custom 3D glasses designed to enhance the sleeve art while you listen.

However, if you prefer physical items you can carry around on your daily routine, the collection also introduces two incredibly neat merch items. The first one is a lovely notebook with a suggested retail price of $19.99. A little steep, sure, but it’s described as a high-quality 240-page journal designed to replicate Mina’s actual in-game notebook, which is always an awesome touch since it doubles as a near-exact replica. Wrapped in a forest green faux-leather exterior, it comes finished with elegant gold foil embellishments on the cover, making it the ultimate logbook for tabletop session notes, daily sketching, or even tracking the game's various side quests.

The second item is the Keychain Blind Box, which, as the name suggests, is a collectible blind box featuring one of six randomized Mina designs, crafted in squishy PVC rubber. This baby is priced at $14.99, making it the most affordable piece in the collection. On top of that, there’s a super neat detail here: iam8bit has hidden a rare design in the mix!
