MIO: Memories in Orbit follows in the footsteps of some incredible Metroidvania games. It balances refinement of the tricks seen in the classics, while also adding its own spin on things.

One of the oldest tricks in the Metroidvania handbook has been gating progress to new areas in various ways. Sometimes it's abilities or items, but sometimes it comes in one of the coolest ways via a single-use key of some kind.

RELATED

In MIO, you'll come across several keys and badges. Once you're fairly deep into the experience, one of the most important ones you'll come across is the Bell Tower Visitor Pass.

This unlocks a late game stage of MIO, and finding it comes with its own set of tricky challenges. Don't sweat it too long, however. In this guide, I'll show you the treacherous path to the key, as well as where you need to use it.

What is the Bell Tower Visitor Pass

The Bell Tower Visitor Pass is described in-game as being your way to witness some sort of majestic celestial event. Indeed, the Bell Tower Visitor Pass grants you access to one of the game's most lovely and emotional sections.

It opens up the upper area of Haven, where you will encounter some of the game's most outstanding bosses. Additionally, the upper area of Haven also includes some remarkable story content.

Where to Find the Bell Tower Visitor Pass

To get the Bell Tower Visitor Pass, you'll need to start at the City Gates in Metropolis. From there, head left until you reach the room seen on the map in the gallery above.

This room requires some tricky platforming, which will make use of both the Hairpin upgrade and using your weapon to strike objects and get another jump. Once you've reached the bottom, the Bell Tower Visitor Pass will be waiting.

It's in front of a broken-down robot. Once you've grabbed it, we can return to Haven.

Where To Use It

Once you've found your way to the location seen above, you'll have to do some more platforming. The flowing river is toxic and will take away a layer of protection, so be sure to use the bouncing pads to make your way across.

You can also use the Hairpin on the hook at the beginning of the section to get a much wider leap. This will make your trip across the dangerous channel a lot easier.

Once you've reached the end, there's a door waiting at the bottom. This is where you use the Bell Tower Visitor Pass, so use it and press on deeper into MIO's treacherous lands.
