New Baldur's Gate 3 Console Update Adds Subclasses and Subrace Mods

Larian Studios released the final major content patch for Baldur's Gate 3 back in April 2025, but they're not blocking the pipeline of community-made mods. BG3 has an astounding amount of free mods available for download, and Larian has just approved 20 mods for the game's console versions that were originally only available on PC. This includes the half-elf, half-orc subrace, multiple subspecies, and new game modes.

The award-winning, party-based RPG has a seemingly endless number of possibilities in terms of how your journey will unfold, giving it a replayability factor that goes toe-to-toe with any game that's ever been made, so we'll likely see new mods still rolling out for BG3 well into the future, and this latest batch of console-approved mods doesn't disappoint.

Larian Approves 20 New Mods for Baldur's Gate 3

Most of the mods in this newly approved batch have been available for PC players for quite some time already, but Larian has ensured console players aren't missing out on the fun. While this isn't an official update from Larian, it certainly feels like one, as console players will now be able to try out new weapons, hairstyles, emotes, and exciting new subraces and subclasses.

Here are the newly-added Baldur's Gate 3 console mods:

• Bernard Evolved - Build and add Bernard to your party as a summon.
• Duskblade: Feats on Even Levels - Add-on for the Duskblade class mod, adds feats on every even level.
• Ezuneo's Draconic Body Scales - New custom body scales for Draconic Sorcerer Tavs.
• Fix_Jump-Fly_Shortcut - The Jump shortcut can automatically use fly actions when they are available.
• God Hero - Adds God Mode and Hero Mode. God Mode grants massive damage and immortality. Hero Mode grants high resistance and high damage.
• Half-Elf, Half-Orc Subrace - New Subrace
• Hellbound Everburn Blade: Progressive Weapon - A powered-up version of the Everburn Blade.
• Indoct's Subtler Piercings - Abundance of new piercing options for character customization.
• Interrupted Music Performance Fixer - Prevents other mods from causing interruptions to music.
• Mantle of Blood: A Bhaal-Themed Cloak - New Bhaal-themed cloak with a Blood Ghost resurrection passive.
• Monk: Way of the Crimson Fist - New Monk Subclass with a Dark Urge theme.
• More Emotes - Adds a ring that enables 461 emotes.
• Nia's Heads Pack 2 - Seven new head presets for Elves, Drow, Half Elves, and humans.
• Origin Class Unlocker - Players can select a Class for Origin Characters during character creation.
• Paladin: Oaths of the Hells - New fire-based Paladin Subclass.
• Paladin's Deity - Paladins can now choose a deity to make their oath to.
• RoguishlyHandsomeHair - A new hairstyle inspired by Edward Kenway, available for all races except Dwarves and Halflings.
• Solo Leveling Daggers: Progressive Weapons - Adds four Solo Leveling-themed daggers into the game.
• Sword Dancers of Eilistraee: Feat Every 2 Levels - Add-on for Sword Dancers of Eilistraee mod that gives a new feat every two levels.
• Way of Steel: An Armoured Monk - New Monk Subclass with an armor focus.

Tap Into Your Inner Orc

As you can see, modders continue to fuel the fire, developing BG3 on their own accord with impressive new content. Some of the most notable additions in this bunch are the two new monk subclasses (Way of Steal and Way of the Crimson Fist), the fire-based Paladin subclass, and the half-elf, half-orc subrace.

The half-elf, half-orc mod includes a good amount of character customization options, including: eight custom heads, custom edited bodies, and virtual textures included for both body types. In addition to the Half-Elf's abilities, players will receive the following from their Orc side:

• Menacing: Gain proficiency in the intimidation skill.
• Relentless Endurance: If you reach 0 Hit Points, regain 1 hit point instead of becoming downed. Recharge: Long rest.
• Savage Attacks: Scoring a critical hit with a melee weapon results in an additional damage dice added to your total damage.
