The long wait for more Nintendo news is nearly over, as a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase has been announced, one that will hopefully give FromSoftware fans an update on a game they've been waiting for.

Nintendo's 2026 schedule is looking grim. While there are some first-party titles in the works, they're very much in the B-tier, such as new Mario Tennis and Yoshi games. The biggest title by far is Pokémon Pokopia, but fans are expecting way more from the franchise, considering 2026 marks the 30th anniversary.

According to statements in a recent publisher FAQ, some Switch 2 games appear to be backward compatible with the original.

The official Nintendo of America Twitter/X account has announced that a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase will be held on February 5, 2026, at 6 AM PT/9 AM ET/2 PM GMT. The show will run for roughly thirty minutes and will focus on games made by third-party studios.

So, what will actually appear during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase? Hopefully, there will be plenty of new reveals, given the Switch 2's schedule looks extremely bare. Now is the time to start fleshing it out and getting fans excited about the hardware.

One game that fans are looking forward to is The Duskbloods, a new fantasy multiplayer game by FromSoftware. The Duskbloods is set to launch in 2026, but almost nothing is known about the game beyond its initial reveal trailer.

There's also a chance Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition could appear. The Switch 2 version was paused indefinitely after many outlets reported poor performance at public showings. Hopefully, a revamped version with a release date will be shown.

Outside of The Duskbloods, there's also Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata, as well as the rumored Monster Hunter Wilds port for Switch 2. Other than Capcom and FromSoftware, not much is known about what could appear, making it even more exciting to imagine what will be revealed.
