Switch 2 owners are getting a lot of ports in 2026

Nintendo and its third-party partners had a lot to show on Thursday at the latest Nintendo Direct showcase, including a long list of beloved games that are being ported to Switch and Switch 2. But there were a few new game announcements and another look at a promising original Switch 2 game — Orbitals, which looks like an '80s anime Split Fiction — that will be out this summer.

But if you're a Switch 2 owner looking to catch up on a long list of classic games already released elsewhere, like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Valheim, and Fallout 4, Thursday's Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase had ports in spades.

Here's a rundown of the latest game announcements and reveals from the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase.

Orbitals continues to look stellar

Thursday's Nintendo Direct gave us another look at the gorgeous '80s-style anime co-op adventure Orbitals, which is coming to Switch 2 in summer 2026.

Bethesda brings Indy, Fallout, and Oblivion to Switch 2

Bethesda Softworks is going all in on Switch 2 ports this year with versions of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (out May 12), Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition (out Feb. 24), and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered (out sometime in 2026). All three games will received digital and physical releases on Switch 2.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Switch 2 release date

Switch 2 owners just got the first part of Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 remake project in January, but the next chapter isn't far off. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is bound for Switch 2 on June 3.

Turok: Origins is headed to Switch 2

The revival of the Turok franchise is also coming to Switch 2 — this fall.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales

Square Enix's new HD-2D role-playing game now has a release date: The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is coming to Switch 2 on June 18.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection

The latest entry in Capcom's Monster Hunter Stories series comes to Switch 2 on March 13. A free demo for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is out today, and progress in that demo will carry over to the full game.

Resident Evil Requiem on Switch 2

Capcom showed off Resident Evil Requiem running on Switch 2, showing the game from both Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy's perspectives. While the game looks solid on Nintendo's platform, Leon's aim seems really off! Anyway, we also got a look at Grace and Leon amiibo figures, which will be out sometime this summer. Resident Evil Requiem launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on Feb. 27.

Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters

Bandai Namco's anime soccer series is coming to Switch this year.

Super Bomberman Collection

The Super Bomberman Collection bundles seven Bomberman games (with 12 versions) from the NES and Super NES era for Switch and Switch 2. It even includes previously unreleased localized versions of Super Bomberman 4 and 5, and is out today.

Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse

Square Enix is bringing the next Paranormasight adventure to the original Switch on Feb. 19. Set in the coastal region of Ise-shima, this original stand-alone story promises a captivating supernatural mystery told through multiple viewpoints.

Tokyo Scramble

In this survival-puzzle-action game, you'll explore underground Tokyo — which is infested by dinosaur-like creatures — in a fight for survival. Tokyo Scramble comes to Switch 2 on Feb. 11.

Valheim

Survival game Valheim is making its way to Switch 2 this year.

Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

The original Hollow Knight is coming to Switch 2 — today! It's a free upgrade for owners of the original Switch version.

Kyoto Xanadu announced

Nihon Falcom's action-platformer/3D action-combat game — with deck-building and relationship-sim elements— Kyoto Xanadu is coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 this fall. "As a student, players will challenge the labyrinth and grow through their battles within Xanadu while also deepening bonds with various people during your daily life," Nintendo says.

Digimon Story Time Stranger for Switch and Switch 2

Digimon Story Time Stranger launches for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on July 10.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok

In this action RPG, players will journey alongside a diverse cast of allies, explore breathtaking floating islands, and battle powerful foes, Nintendo says. Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok promises more than 20 playable characters, with local and online multiplayer for up to four people. Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 9.

Hamster's Console Archives brings classic gaming to Switch 2

Retro game specialists Hamster Corporation is bringing more Arcade Archives titles to Switch 2, including Namco's Ridge Racer sequel Rave Racer. But the studio is also opening up the Console Archives series, with Switch 2 versions of Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Sword of Chaos (NES), Cool Boarders (PlayStation), Sonic Wings Special (PlayStation), and Doraemon (Famicom).
