Nintendo Just Revealed A New HD-2D Final Fantasy Game Is On The Way

As part of June 2026's Nintendo Direct, Square Enix has revealed a brand new HD-2D Final Fantasy game is on the way. Titled Final Fantasy Resonance, the upcoming game is a somewhat loose adaptation of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius's first season. Final Fantasy Resonance is slated to release on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PC, Switch, and Switch 2 on October 22.
