It's been nearly 12 years since Over the Garden Wall first debuted on Cartoon Network. The 2014 miniseries' legacy looms large in the animation world, as it stands as a perfect autumnal watch thanks to its creepily comfy vibes. We've even named it the best Halloween show in years past — it's that good. And while you can just watch the series on Hulu now, there is a more reliable way to ensure an annual watch: Over the Garden Wall is getting its first Blu-ray release in just two months.

Over the Garden Wall follows half-brothers Wirt (Elijah Wood) and Greg (Collin Dean), who are lost in a mysterious forest dubbed the Unknown as they try to get home. They receive help from a bird named Beatrice (Melanie Lynskey) and the elderly Woodsman (Christopher Lloyd), along with plenty of trouble. The series was created by Patrick McHale (Adventure Time), who based it on his short film Tome of the Unknown.

No details about special features for the one-disc release have been revealed, but Amazon notes an April 7 release date. A previous UK-exclusive Blu-ray release of the series included episode commentaries, a behind-the-scenes featurette, the original Tome of the Unknown short, deleted scenes, and a composer's cut of the show. While they're at it, though, the set should include the 2024 stop-motion animated short film, in which Wirt revisits the adventures he and Greg had in the Unknown for the show's 10th anniversary.

Previously, a bare-bones DVD version of the show was released in 2015. That set can still be found for under $7, should you have no interest in waiting a couple of months to own your favorite show.

While Over the Garden Wall won't be released until April 7, the set is currently available for pre-order for $30.99. Now we just need someone to give McHale the money to make his live-action "spiritual sequel" to Over the Garden Wall, and life will be complete. Though, between this set and those cool Mondo figures, he might be well on his way.
