Palworld's Upcoming Official Card Game Features Base-Building and Resource Gathering

When it comes to monster-taming video games, Palworld has solidified its spot in the genre with unique resource-gathering and base-building mechanics, action-packed combat, and over 180 pal companions to discover.

With a die-hard fanbase eager for more, Palworld is now making its highly-anticipated trading card debut, as Bushiroad has announced Palworld's Official Card Game will be launching on July 30th, with its first set, Dawn of Palpagos.

Palworld Official Card Game Launches July 30th

As a fan of trading card games for nearly three decades, one can only wonder how much money I've spent collecting cards over the years, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's definitely a number I'd rather not think about, but the endless enjoyment I got from those cards is absolutely priceless—completing sets, building decks, trading, and making memories with friends as we battle for bragging rights.

Now, it's Palworld's time to enter the TCG arena, and they're hitting the shelves in style with trial decks, tournaments, demo sessions, and of course, booster packs. If you're looking to get the jump on your opponents and become the best Palworld TCG player you can possibly be, and maybe even become a world champion, there's a lot of information we need to unpack—so let's get into it.

Palworld's Official Card Game releases globally on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, with presales available at Anime Expo and other select events starting in July. Follow the Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME social media accounts for more details.

Booster Packs and Trial Decks

Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME's first set, Dawn of Palpagos, will feature brand-new, original illustrations, and 100 unique cards to collect including:

• Pal Cards
• Gear Cards
• Event Cards
• Structure Cards
• Soul Cards

Each booster pack will contain seven cards, with 12 booster packs in a box. Two types of trial deck packages will also be available for purchase (Dawn of Palpagos Red - Blue, and Dawn of Palpagos Green - Purple).

These trial decks will include:

• Main Deck (50 Cards)
• 10 Soul Cards
• 1 Play Guide
• 1 Paper Playmat
• 1 Life Counter
• 1 Dawn of Palpagos Booster Pack

Bushiroad was kind enough to send me a pair of trial decks, and invited me to take part in a hands-on demo with several of their staff to get familiar with how the game works. It was an exciting experience to say the least, and as we played through the game and discussed the rules, I quickly realized Palworld's TCG has some incredible potential.

One of the most exciting things about the launch of Palworld's official card game, is the abundance of opportunities for competitive play on a global scale.

Shop Tournaments

Shop tournaments, release-specific tournaments, and the Grand Release Tournament, will all begin in August, followed by the Challengers Cup, which runs from September to November, and will offer exclusive prizes.

These shop-level tournaments not only give players the opportunity to sharpen their skills and fine-tune their decks, they offer promo cards that may come in handy if you plan on making a run for the world champion title. Speaking of world champions, let's take a closer look at the structure of the Palworld OCG competitive scene.

Palworld OCG Masters League

As you can see in the picture above, Palworld's official card game will have a global tournament called the Masters League, with regional qualifying tournaments being held in over 20 regions across the globe.

The Masters League will begin running in November, with the top players from the regional qualifying tournaments advancing to the Masters World Finals, where the first world champion will be crowned in Tokyo.

Based on my first impression during the demo, and my many years of enjoying other TCGs, I think Pocketpair and Bushiroad have conjured up a game that is not only true to Palworld's PC experience, it has the layers of complexity needed to make deck-builders worldwide fall in love with it.
