For decades, Game Freak has introduced a plethora of new evolutions and forms for pre-existing Pokémon in new Pokémon games from new permanent evolutions to Mega Evolutions and even regional forms.
Now, Game Freak and Omega Force have introduced a new variation of alternate Pokémon forms with special, individual Pokémon in Pokémon Pokopia who adapted to the Withered Wasteland and islands beyond in a wide variety of ways.

Every Snake Pokemon, Ranked
There aren't many snake-like Pokemon, but the ones we do have like Serperior and Steelix have their undeniable places in our parties.
While there aren't as many new forms introduced in Pokopia, each of them do have fun personalities, intriguing lore, and useful abilities that make each of them great additions to Pokémon's ever-expanding Pokédex.
8 Smearguru
Pokémon's Very Own Picasso
pokopia.pokemon.comOne of the first new Pokémon forms introduced in Pokopia's trailers was Smearguru, a Smeargle who finally lived up to its signature move Sketch and Pokédex entries to become a proper painter all on its own.
Located in Bleak Beach, Smearguru hopes to paint the landscape of its birthplace one day and will offer its services to recolor certain items and furniture for players.
Smearguru is nice, but its ability isn't that useful to most players, and it's unlikely that it would ever be usable in mainline Pokémon games, as it seems like it would just be another typical Normal-type Smeargle though maybe with a unique ability.
7 Chef Dente
A Proper Successor to Brock
pokopia.pokemon.comOne of the last new Pokémon forms to be introduced through Pokémon Pokopia's trailers just before the game launched was Chef Dente, a Greedent who took her love for food to an all-new level by becoming a chef that would even make the food-loving Gym Leader Brock proud.
Located in Rocky Ridges, Chef Dente got her love for cooking by growing up with a family of foodies who named her Charlotte and loves to season most food carelessly but prefers to store kitchenware in her tail instead of berries.
Chef Dente has an open and warm personality that everyone will grow to love and her ability to teach players how to cook is very helpful in maintaining PP but much like Smearguru, it doesn't seem like she would appear in any mainline games unless Game Freak makes her a Normal/Steel-type.
6 Mosslax
The Most Sleepy Snorlax of All Time
pokopia.pokemon.comAs soon as Mosslax, a moss and flower-covered Snorlax, was introduced in one of Pokopia's trailers, it instantly became a fan-favorite just for how interesting and perfect of a design it was for a Snorlax.
Also found in Bleak Beach, Mosslax is said to have tried sleeping off a bad mood after it lost a Pokémon battle, only to sleep for such a long time that moss and flowers grew all over its body, and it lost most of its memories.
Mosslax doesn't do much in Pokopia besides serving as an obstacle like many Snorlax before it, but it could become a fun alternate form of Snorlax to use in battles in mainline games one day, with it potentially becoming a Normal/Grass-type and gaining an ability similar to Regigigas' Slow Start.

From Bellossom to Flabébé, there are a wide range of flower Pokemon to represent one of nature's greatest inventions.
5 Tinkmaster
A Pokémon Every Tinkaton Would Envy
Tinkmaster, a skilled Tinkaton with a Swiss Army knife-like hammer, is the only new Pokémon form introduced in Pokopia that wasn't featured in any of the game's trailers or marketing material, but despite that, it remains one of the best NPCs in the game.
Found far away in the Sparking Skylands, Tinkmaster is said to be particularly skilled with its hands compared to most other Tinkaton, allowing it to use other tools and customize its hammer as it studies human-made buildings and machines.
While Tinkmaster isn't that visually different from other Tinkaton, it's one of the most useful NPCs in all of Pokopia since it can help players build more complex buildings and machines, such as Construction-Site Generators and Lifts.
4 Peakychu
The Most Unexpected Pikachu Variant
pokopia.pokemon.comOver the years, there have been many Pikachu variants and Pikachu clone Pokémon released with every new Pokémon generation, such as the electric squirrel Pachirisu and the disguise Pokémon Mimikyu, but Pokopia's Peakychu is still a very unexpected form of the mascot.
Also found on Bleak Beach, Peakychu is an unusually pale and small Pikachu that is said to have used most of its electricity to heal sick friends, which resulted in Peakychu becoming unable to generate electricity on its own.
Peakychu can still charge and conduct electricity for lights and other machines with help from other electric Pokémon, which is nice, but it would be interesting to see Peakychu brought into mainline games as an Electric/Ghost-type as it's rumored to have become a Ghost-type after giving away most of its power.
3 DJ Rotom
K.K. Slider's Biggest Rival
pokopia.pokemon.comAnother one of the last new Pokémon forms introduced through Pokopia's trailers was DJ Rotom, a Rotom that possessed a mini stereo system similar to how other Rotoms can inhabit microwaves, washing machines, fans, refrigerators, lawn mowers, and Pokédexes.
Located in the Rocky Ridges near Chef Dente, DJ Rotom is said to have become a fan of music after possessing the stereo and listening to a synth-pop CD found inside the stereo.
Players can give DJ Rotom CDs of previous Pokémon game soundtracks, which is a great way to reference other Pokémon games in Pokopia, but DJ Rotom could hint at Game Freak getting closer to debuting a new Sound-typing despite it being technically an Electric/Normal-type.

2 Professor Tangrowth
Pokémon's Most Helpful Professor
Image Via The Pokemon CompanyPokémon Professors are a classic trope found in most Pokémon games, but oftentimes, especially in recent entries, Professors do practically nothing to help players or progress the story. This is exactly what makes Professor Tangrowth great, as he's one of the most active Professors in the entire franchise.
Professor Tangrowth is practically the secondary protagonist of Pokopia as he's by the player's side at almost every point in the game, often helping players, talking with other Pokémon, and guiding players on how to next go about healing the Withered Wasteland and rebuilding towns.
Professor Tangrowth may not be as book smart as Professors Oak, Rowan, or Birch, but he's always optimistic, understanding, and kind toward any and all Pokémon found in Pokopia.
1 Trainer Ditto
The Ultimate Ditto
Finally, the last new Pokémon form introduced in Pokopia is the player themselves, a Ditto who takes the form of their former Pokémon Trainer years after they mysteriously disappeared.
Unlike other Dittos who can only maintain one other Pokémon's appearance and abilities at a time, the player Ditto can use multiple moves while still retaining their human form, such as Water Gun, Cut, Rock Smash, and more.
For a protagonist of a life simulation survival game, the Ditto was a perfect choice and may go down as one of the greatest Pokémon leads of all time despite not even being human.
