Pokémon Pokopia's next event has been revealed, and it brings a beloved Mythical Pokémon to the game. On June 23, Jirachi arrives in the post-apocalyptic Kanto region.

In the Wish Upon a Jirachi event, players will work to get nighttime-themed furniture and other décor items to style their Pokémon's habitats. You have to have a rebuilt Pokémon Center in your town for Jirachi to visit, and you should have plenty of time to throw one together before the event starts if you haven't yet.

Talk to Jirachi to get a recipe for wish notes, then do tasks for your community's Pokémon to turn those notes into sparkling wish notes. Exchange them with the wish-granting Pokémon for your rewards.

The Wish Upon a Jirachi event will last until July 8. The sparkling wish notes will only be available during the event timeframe, and it's not immediately clear if Jirachi will be around only until the end of the event. Players may be able to build Jirachi's habitat out of the event items and have the Mythical Pokémon become a permanent resident of their Pokémon Pokopia community, but The Pokémon Company hasn't confirmed this yet.

Pokémon Pokopia was released on March 5 and instantly became one of the Switch 2's must-play and highest-rated games. Polygon found it a little grindy, but still very enjoyable in our review. If you've yet to dive into Pokémon Pokopia, you can get it as part of a limited-time Nintendo Switch 2 bundle for $499.99.
