PS Plus August 2026 games lineup includes a quirky multiplayer game

Get ready for a Big Walk

PlayStation Plus subscribers will get another batch of "free" games as part of their subscription in August, and we already know what one of them will be: the next title from the developers behind Untitled Goose Game and Push Me Pull You. The rest of Sony's PlayStation Plus Essential free games lineup is expected to be announced on Wednesday, but for now, we can look forward to House House's Big Walk joining the PS Plus offerings in August as a day-one release.

August's PlayStation Plus games will go live on Tuesday, Aug. 4, per Sony's expected schedule.

Here's what PlayStation fans can expect as part of PS Plus in August 2026, so far:

Big Walk

Big Walk is the next game from the studio behind quirky and colorful games Untitled Goose Game and Push Me Pull You. The developers describe Big Walk as a video game "about talking to your friends."

"It is both a big adventure, and a nice place to hang out," according to the game's official website, which describes Big Walk as focusing on teamwork and talking. "Everything you do in the game is designed for cooperative multiplayer."

"Big Walk is a long-form cooperative game," House House and publisher Panic say. "It’s made to be played with the same group over multiple sessions, so it doesn’t make sense to throw strangers together randomly. We think it’s a much better experience to organize and play Big Walk with people you know — or people you want to know better."

Big Walk supports cross-play — it's also coming to Mac, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows PC.

You can still grab July's free PlayStation Plus Essential games — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and CrossCode — through Aug. 3.

PlayStation Plus Essential is the lowest tier of Sony’s subscription game service. It offers online multiplayer access, a monthly assortment of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases. PlayStation Plus Essential costs $79.99 annually, $27.99 for a three-month subscription, or $10.99 monthly, following a price hike across all tiers of PS Plus in May.
