Anyone looking for a cathartic, Nazi-killing adventure might want to put Nekome: Nazi Hunter on their radar. Announced Tuesday by ProbablyMonsters, Nekome: Nazi Hunter casts players as a young Romani man on a bloody mission of revenge across war-torn World War II Europe.

ProbablyMonsters describes Nekome: Nazi Hunter as a single-player, third-person action-combat game that blends "stealth and brutal, up-close combat where every attack is personal and every kill is meaningful." The game's reveal trailer doesn't show much of the stealth and murder-planning side of Nekome, focusing mainly on the stylized blood, gore, and relentless stabbing of brown shirts. It looks like it could be some great Nazi exploitation fare, in the vein of Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and MachineGames' Wolfenstein series. After all, the story of killing Nazis is evergreen.

Nekome: Nazi Hunter stars Vano Nastasu, whose family was murdered by Nazi soldiers. The game "follows Vano’s transformation from hunted to hunter as he embarks on a violent personal odyssey of revenge," the developer said in a news release. (Nekome is the Yiddish word for revenge.)

ProbablyMonsters has not announced a release date or platforms for Nekome: Nazi Hunter, but promises more details will be revealed on the game at GDC 2026 in March. Suffice it to say, Nekome: Nazi Hunter is rated M for Mature.

Publisher and developer ProbablyMonsters was founded in 2016 by Harold Ryan, the former CEO and president of Bungie. ProbablyMonsters is home to a number of internal studios, including Hidden Grove, which is led by former Bungie creative director Chris Opdahl. The studio was also once home to Concord developer Firewalk Studios, before that group was acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2023. ProbablyMonsters has released two games thus far: first-person horror game Ire: A Prologue and roguelite 2D action-platformer Storm Lancers.
