Ubisoft has used the PlayStation State of Play to announce a 30th anniversary edition of its 1995 classic Rayman — and it's out tomorrow, Feb. 13.

Rather than a remaster or remake, Ubisoft has elected to present the 2D platformer in its original form(s) alongside a bunch of bonus features and an interactive documentary. It's the full Digital Eclipse treatment: the video game equivalent of a Criterion Collection edition of a movie, produced by the retro specialist studio that has made a name for itself with exhaustively researched compilations and special editions like Atari 50, Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story, and Tetris Forever.

Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition includes five versions of the original adventure of the limbless mascot with his helicopter hair: the iconic PlayStation release, plus MS-DOS, Atari Jaguar, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance. Rayman's never-released SNES prototype is also made available for the first time. There are 120 additional levels to play in three level packs: Rayman's New Levels, Rayman 60 Levels, and Rayman By His Fans.

The game's old-school platforming challenge is eased somewhat by a rewind feature, multiple save slots, and accessibility options, including infinite lives and instant level unlock. And one aspect of the game has been remastered: the music. There's a "faithfully reimagined" soundtrack by Rayman Origins composer Christophe Héral.

Meanwhile, the interactive documentary includes 50 minutes of new interviews with the game's original developers, as well as concept art, design documents, and more.

Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition costs $19.99 and is out tomorrow on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
