Would you pay $2,000 for a remaster of Rayman Origins?

A Microsoft Store page for Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition went live early, confirming that a re-release of the beloved Ubisoft platformer is in the works. The game definitely won't be priced at $1,999.99 when the official launch happens, though.
Wario64 spotted the premature listing for the game on May 29. Although the page has since been taken down, it explained that Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition is an upgraded version of the 2011 classic that adds unspecified "quality-of-life features" in addition to its 4K resolution and 60 FPS improvements. Considering Rayman Origins' online functionality hasn't worked in years, it's nice that we'll soon receive an updated version of the game for current-gen platforms like Xbox Series X.
The main reason this leak drew so much attention, though, was that the game was listed at $1,999.99. Obviously, that is a placeholder and not the price at which a remaster of a game over 14 years old would retail. Still, it's quite funny to see a game unintentionally listed at $1,999.99 at a time when every gaming device is going up in price and everyone is speculating about what GTA 6 will cost.
We now know that $30 a month proved too expensive for Xbox Game Pass, but what price for an individual game will be the breaking point for gamers? It's safe to say that $1,999.99 is much higher than whatever that price point is, but it's worth thinking about as the cost of games and gaming hardware continues to rise.
For now, we just have to wait and see when Ubisoft will officially announce and release Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. Hopefully, that's sometime soon, although we did have to wait seven months to learn more about Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition after it suffered a similar store-page leak.
