Resident Evil Requiem Moments Gore Fans Will Love

Resident Evil Requiem has a solid blend of psychological horror, gore, and gunplay that will keep you wanting more. For those who love a good scare, terrifying moments are waiting around every corner, from a new stalker enemy to crawling around in the dark.

A big part of horror is witnessing the gore, and plenty of people want to see the visceral action unfold. For those who are gore fiends, multiple moments will give you that satisfying blood splatter, but we have pulled together the best that Resident Evil Requiem has to offer.

8 Saving Grace

For a Brief Moment

Grace is thrust into the Resident Evil horror at a rapid pace, and she has little time to process it all. It seems like something wants to kill her every two seconds, and she desperately wants to escape.

One of the best gore moments in the early game comes when Grace finally thinks she can escape "The Girl," only to be pulled back in. Leon steps up, using Requiem to blast the stalker enemy away.

It is here that we see the true power of Requiem, as it rips through "The Girl's" flesh and tears open her skull. We then see her eyeball hanging out from her supposed corpse, and it is pretty satisfying.

7 Defeating Chunk

A Solid Explosion

Prepared to be bathed in blood the moment that you decide to take control and attack Chunk. Chunk is the massive creature roaming the halls of the care facility, and it can be taken out with a hemolytic injector and a few shots from Requiem.

If you manage to take out this abomination, you are rewarded with a satisfying scene of it taking a few more steps forward before being covered in blood blisters. The blisters then pop and drain, causing blood to leak out into the hallway.

Finally, Chunk explodes, splattering blood across the walls, and it is a relief to have them gone. You also get a charm for your efforts.

6 Chainsaw Massacre

A Second Opinion

For me, there were few sections of Resident Evil as satisfying as finally getting a chance to play as Leon in the care facility. The first time we get into the action, a chainsaw-wielding zombie comes out and eviscerates a woman in front of us.

If that wasn't gory enough, you can then take the chainsaw and hack your way through numerous zombies flooding the room. It shows why Leon is the number one in many people's books.

This scene is followed by Grace being saved, so you really get two great scenes back to back.

5 Nose Ripped Off

Not Very Romantic

It is something that, to some, would be incredibly horrifying. The first time you get to play as Leon, Gideon is walking away and infecting various people walking the city streets.

The first interaction with this is a woman begging for help who collapses into a man. She then proceeds to plant a kiss on the man before turning rabid and ripping his nose clean off.

We get a shot of his face, and it is worthwhile enough to make someone cringe in pain as blood gushes from where his nose used to be.

4 The Meat Grinder

So Much Blood

Few scenes top the meat grinder section of Resident Evil Requiem if you love blood. You walk into this area and see bodies dropping into a large vat of blood.

After draining the blood, you jump into the grinder, only for it to turn on. You then get the satisfying experience of pushing zombies into a massive meat grinder and seeing them get ripped to shreds.

Shortly after this, you also get to ride the blood river into another vat, completely coating Grace in blood for the next section of the game.

3 Alyssa Slashed Down

Like a Slasher Film

It is a moment that is both psychological and gory. It is the first time Grace has been truly scared from a moment in her past, and it is when her mother is cut down right in front of her.

As Alyssa Ashcroft leads Grace out of the Wrenwood Hotel, we witness Alyssa shoot a man down. We think it is nearly over, but the same man appears from behind and drives a machete into Alyssa's neck.

It is a scene that feels like it was ripped from a slasher film, and a moment that gore fans should enjoy.

2 The Girl Eating

She's Messy

You wake up in the care facility, free yourself from your bonds, and try to make your escape. Everything seems like it is going well when you open a door, and a dead body falls out.

At that moment, a massive hand reaches out, grabbing the body. It is "The Girl," and she gives you a true horror show as she rips the body apart with her teeth, letting blood ooze from her mouth and down onto your face.

It is not as bloody as some moments, but it is a moment that sets the tone for a large portion of the game, and one that is worthy of being high on the list.

1 Blood Vat

Too Much Blood?

This list wouldn't be complete without mentioning the bloodiest part of the game. You reach the underground lab, but Gideon escapes and turns on the self-destruct sequence.

It is time for you to escape, and as you make your way through the testing rooms, blood pours from the containers, drenching the facility. To top it off, you can use special fire extinguishers to rupture the infected, causing them to explode in a visceral mess.

There is also no other part of the game where you get to climb a literal waterfall of blood. There is no doubt that this is a gore fiend's dream.
