The first FromSoftware screen adaptation is hitting theaters this year, with Sekiro: No Defeat set to be released in Japan, but it looks like the rest of the world will have to find another way to watch it.
While the live-action Elden Ring movie and the animated Bloodborne film are still in the early stages of production, another FromSoftware project will beat them to the punch, hitting screens in 2026. Sekiro: No Defeat is an adaptation of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, arguably the easiest FromSoftware property to adapt, given that it has a set protagonist rather than one the player designs.

It's a shame that the movie version of Sekiro: No Defeat is coming to cinemas worldwide, as it would have been the first FromSoftware adaptation on the big screen. Fans might also have prepared the movie theater experience by watching it in chunks.
Sekiro: No Defeat has looked gorgeous in all the trailers revealed so far, and the Japanese theater release date suggests it will be hitting Crunchyroll around the same time, meaning fans might still have to wait a few more months until they can witness Wolf cutting down some enemies.
