Did you find Assassin's Creed Shadows fun? Want more Assassin's Creed games in the future? What about Far Cry? If the answer to those questions is a "yes," then you're in luck.

Ubisoft has confirmed something we knew all along, and that's they are developing more games in the Assassin's Creed franchise, as well as two Far Cry games.

The confirmation came from Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot.

Speaking to Variety, Guillemot was asked if there are future announcements planned for the next Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six Siege, or Far Cry games anytime soon.

Surprisingly, instead of skirting around the subject, Guillemot confirmed a few things in the process, stating, "We have a solid pipeline underway across Vantage Studios. Under the Assassin’s Creed brand, several titles are in development, spanning both single-player and multiplayer experiences, with the ambition to further grow a community that exceeded 30 million players last year."

Ubisoft's big boss added, "On Far Cry, anticipation is high, and we currently have two very promising projects in development."

When it comes to Rainbow Six Siege, Guillemot didn't confirm or deny whether we'll see a sequel, but the executive did divulge that the first-person shooter was seeing 2.5 million players daily.

While Guillemot's revelation hardly comes as a surprise, it's one of the few pieces of good news that's connected to the publisher in recent months.

Sure, Ubisoft managed to wrangle some of the Tencent money to save the company from complete meltdown, but that's not enough to stave off the recent string of bad news that has plagued the company for what seems like years now.

The most recent bad news? The highly-awaited Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has been axed despite the game being in development for years and was even planned for release sometime this year.

When it comes to new games in the Assassin's Creed franchise, the rumor mill has been swirling nonstop regarding an Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake, which has yet to be officially announced.

As for Far Cry, the latest game in the series is Far Cry 6, which was released in 2021. Chances are, we'll be hearing more about Far Cry 7 this year. Perhaps it'll be accompanied by another Far Cry spin-off.
