Shoring Up Defences Quest Guide in ARC Raiders

Fancy a nice relaxing day at the beach? Waves lapping on the quiet shore, the wind rustling through the tall grass… deadly machines whirring overhead! Not quite what I had in mind, but I’ll take what I can get.

The new ARC Raiders update, Riven Tides, has finally emerged, and with it, we, extraction enthusiasts, are finally able to explore a brand-new map. The last new map, Stella Montis, was introduced way back in 2025, so it’s high time for some fresh content.

And of course, with a new map, we’ve been blessed with a bunch of new quests, taking place on the Beachfront, as well as some others continuing previous storylines. If you’re itching for some combat, then Shoring Up Defences has plenty of Robot destruction for you, as well as some interesting exploration.

Let’s take a look at this brand-new quest and how to get it done as quickly as possible.

Prerequisites

This quest has no previous requirements and is unlocked as soon as you update your game to the newest patch.

However, this doesn’t mean you should head into the match on a free loadout. You’ll have to take down some tricky ARC here, so coming in with a decent firearm is essential.

For example, Fireflies can be notoriously tanky, so you’ll need something with decent armour penetration to get through their thick metal plating. Either bring some seeker grenades for an easy takedown, or something like an Anvil or even a Hullcracker if you can afford it.

Additionally, you need 1 ARC Alloy for some repairs. You can either bring this with you or salvage it from the remains of a fallen ARC unit.

Swatting Flies

Firstly, you will be given 2 objectives which require you to take down the following ARC units:

• 5x Wasps
• 3x Fireflies

Luckily, the skies are full of these little critters, so you won’t have much trouble finding them. In addition, these ARC like to travel in packs, with each pack generally consisting of a couple of Wasps, a Hornet, and a Firefly.

Try to take them down from cover by firing some well-placed shots at the propellers. This way, you can easily get these 2 objectives done within 1 match.

Parkour!

Once you’ve taken down those pesky ARC enemies, you can head on over to the huge sets of cranes down by the Ocean in the Stacking Yard.

Head over to the base of the central crane, and you’ll notice a zipline leading up to the middle level. Head on up, and then you’ll appear beside a little blue raider tent. Repair the legs of the tent with the ARC Alloy you brought, or take down one of the surrounding Wasps overhead. Once you’ve done this, you’ll have another objective completed!

All-Inclusive Package

Finally, you’ll need to make some repairs over at the Hotel Complex. The Hotel can be found in the far west of the map.

Here you’ll need to board up some of the damaged windows. There are plenty of windows to find, but most of the ones you can interact with are found on the eastern side of the hotel.

For example, I went to the 3rd floor and found some broken windows in an empty hotel room, overlooking the ocean. Keep searching from room to room, and eventually you will come across one you can interact with.

Board up the window, and then you’re free to extract whenever you wish.

Rewards

Upon quest completion, Apollo will award you with the following items:

• 3x Barricade Kit
• 3x Lure Grenade Trap
• 6x Seeker Grenades

You are also granted a Dockmaster’s Detector when you begin the quest; however, this isn’t necessary for the quest's completion.
