Crimson Desert's open-world is stunning, vast, and overflowing with secrets to discover and mobs of enemies to conquer—but traversing this massive continent isn't always easy.
From large bodies of water, to sprawling mountain ranges, or a scorching desert full of quicksand, you'll be encountering many different types of terrain on your journey, and sometimes it's best just to take the shortcut.
Fast-travel points are scattered throughout the continent of Pywel, waiting to be discovered, but sometimes you'll need to solve a challenging puzzle in order to unlock them.
In this guide, I'll show you step-by-step how to solve the puzzle at the Golden Plains Ruins, which will reward you with an abyss artifact, and a new fast-travel location that will come in handy down the road.
How to Solve the Golden Plains Ruins Puzzle
At this location you'll find four stone statues placed in a circle. On the back of each statue, there is a dial you can interact with that will allow you to rotate them.
To solve this puzzle, you'll need to rotate the statues until all four are facing the center of the circle, but there's a twist that can make things really difficult. The statues are linked to each other, so when you turn one of the statues, a different statue will also rotate.
If you turn the wrong statue, this puzzle can easily become confusing, but I've found a quick and easy way to solve it.
Golden Plains Ruins Location
The Golden Plains Ruins can be found North of Demeniss, highlighted by the arrows in the picture above. If you're discovering this area for the first time, the ruins will appear on your mini-map as a large grey question mark.
Burn the Vines with Blinding Light
When you arrive you'll discover four stone statues, with one of them being hidden behind a wall of vines, seen in the picture above.
Use your blinding light ability to burn the vines (seen above) so you can see all four of the statues while you're rotating them.
Turning the Statues
The easiest way to solve this puzzle is to only turn the statues that are circled in the picture above.
When rotating statue 1, the statue behind the vines will also turn, and when turning statue 2, the statue opposite to it will rotate, so you can solve this puzzle fairly quickly and avoid any trial-and-error.
Rotate the front statue (statue 1, seen above) and the left statue (statue 2) until they are both facing the middle of the circle. Doing this will also make the other two statues face the middle.
When all four statues are in the correct position, an abyss cresset will be revealed in the middle of the circle. You'll now be able to claim an abyss artifact, and permanently use this location for fast travel.
