The new teaser video posted by GSC doesn't give us much information, but as the fog settles, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant becomes visible in the background. With the caption "Something to look forward to in 2026", meaning a major story DLC is on the way, and stalkers will finally head directly into the heart of Chornobyl.

While the teaser video doesn't give us any additional information other than the entrance to the Nuclear Powerplant, GSC has also posted a new year's message to their community, stating, "The first story DLC is coming along nicely, and we’re also working on a major upgrade to a newer version of Unreal Engine 5 to make the Zone even more stable and gorgeous."

STALKER 2 just became available for PS5 in November, marking a huge milestone in GSC's journey, as they reach a wider audience and give PlayStation gamers the chance to experience their game.

Just a month after the PS5 launch, GSC added over five hours of gameplay in the Stories Untold content update, which has Stalkers investigating mysterious transmissions that cause nosebleeds, headaches, and hallucinations.

The Stories Untold content update includes: 8 new missions, 7 new locations, 6 new characters, 3 new unique items, and a unique weapon—a modified version of the GP37 rifle.

As far as the story DLC in 2026 goes, the Stalkers are preparing themselves mentally for the terrors that await them inside the CNPP, but they'll have to wait a bit longer to get another glimpse of what's next.
