A good number of minigames and cute characters make this journey memorable, along with meaningful progression as you unlock (or create your own) shortcuts throughout.

The self-awareness in some of the dialogue is charmingly reflective of the collect-a-thon genre. The soundtrack fits every sub-region like a glove, making the world very immersive. If more places get added, some kind of music checkpoint system would be a nice addition, allowing tracks to resume from somewhere in the middle instead of restarting from the beginning every time, giving lesser-played segments a chance to be heard. The Schnitzelville music is great, but the full track rarely plays while constantly entering and leaving buildings. There were also a few minor UI issues.

The Quest tab was confusing, some stickers remained grayed out for quests that had already been completed, and the meaning of the rainbow-colored stickers wasn’t clear. The fan boost occasionally failed to activate after drowning (and re-crafting a fan) or entering loading zones, and Andro’s passive dialogue remained on screen after 100% completion and passing by, even from the other side of the Schländ. Must have been really excited to have visitors back for mini golf. None of these issues really detracted from the gameplay loop.

That’s how many players may first discover it through short-form videos, and the full experience doesn’t disappoint either. Super Chipflake Ü: Quest for the Uncooked Schnitzel is well made, with silly graphics, high-quality gameplay, and a unique plot. It only takes a few hours or less to finish the main quests, but there’s plenty more to do afterward with side quests and hidden easter eggs scattered throughout the world.
