Test Case Quest Walkthrough in ARC Raiders

The latest Flashpoint update in ARC Raiders has blessed us all with a massive 9 new quests to keep us busy as we enjoy the brand-new Close Scrutiny map condition.

In ARC Raiders, some quests require you to venture out to multiple locations, looking for items, making repairs, and unravelling the mysteries of Topside. This quest, however, is way more action-focused. In Test Case, you’re going to be clashing and smashing ARC into little itty-bitty pieces. Which, honestly, is my favourite thing to do in ARC Raiders.

Let’s take a look at our objectives and how to get this new quest done!

Prerequisites

Oddly enough, this quest doesn’t actually require you to interact with the new ARC units released in the Flashpoint update, instead asking you to go after the ARC released in the previous patch. Which is really a blessing, because those vaporisers aren’t exactly easy to take down on your own.

Fireflies, however, well, they’re a piece of cake. Before setting off on an expedition, make sure you’re well kitted out. Even if you think fireflies are easy to kill, it never hurts to bring adequate healing supplies and a Hullcracker just in case.

Because we’re ideally going to be doing this with a Map Condition, it’s best to be well-prepared, as you might have to fend off more things than Fireflies.

Test Case Quest Walkthrough

Here are the following objectives that we need to tick off for Apollo:

• Bring Apollo 1x Hornet Driver
• Bring Apollo 1x Fireball Burner
• Bring Apollo 1x Firefly Burner
• Destroy 1x Firefly

Chances are, you might already have the 3 items ready for delivery, just sitting in your stash. In which case, all you need to do is take down a single Firefly. However, if you don’t have any of these, you can pick them all up along the way.

The best way to crush a bunch of ARC units and pick up lots of ARC items is through the new map condition, Close Scrutiny.

If you haven’t already played this, the way it works is that every 5 or so minutes, an ARC Assessor will drop from the sky. 3 Beams of red light will shoot up from each available loot container, indicating that they can be looted.

However, looting this is no easy task. As soon as the Assessor lands, a whole bunch of ARC enemies will descend, swarming the area. We are here for the enemies, not the Assessor, so wait for a bunch of people to run in, and then try picking off some of the smaller enemies around the edges.

This is the perfect way to take out a bunch of Wasps, Hornets, Surveyors, and Fireflies. Most people will be so focused on killing the Vaporisers or smoking the area that you can swoop in for the scraps. You can use something easy and reliable, like an anvil, or perhaps an Osprey if you don’t want to get too close. Either way, try not to get sucked into the mayhem.

As soon as you grab your ARC items and take out 1 Firely, you can safely extract and deliver the items to Apollo.

Rewards

Upon quest completion, you will be awarded the following items:

• 1x Fireworks Box Blueprint
• 3x Seeker Grenades
• 3x Blaze Grenades

If you now have a taste for the chaos in Close Scrutiny, these grenades will serve you well. Seeker Grenades are especially good if you aren’t a good shot; you’ll certainly want to invest in some Smoke Grenades to have any chance of looting the ARC Assessor.

Remember to learn and consume your blueprint from the Misc tab in your stash, or simply sell the blueprint for some quick cash!
