Several new games were revealed today at the third Triple-i Initiative Showcase, a livestream dedicated to highlighting independent games. The show gave us a fresh look at Castlevania: Belmont's Curse and revealed surprising new installments in the Don't Starve and Temtem series.

The Triple-i Initiative is an annual showcase put together by Castlevania: Belmont's Curse developer Evil Empire. The show was created three years ago to put a spotlight on indie games, and it has delivered some big game news over that time, including Slay the Spire 2's official reveal. This year's show was similarly eventful. New game reveals include Temtem: Pioneers (a survival spinoff of the monster-catching RPG series), Don't Starve Elsewhere, and Prove You're Human, the latest game from the developer of 1000xResist. We also learned about new DLC coming to games like Cairn and Risk of Rain 2.

Here are the biggest announcements from Triple-i Initiative Showcase, which featured news on 40 games in total.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

While we didn't get a release date for Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, we did see some gameplay footage showing off its action and exploration. It's very reminiscent of Dead Cells, but placed into a traditional 2D Metroidvania format. The game is still set for a 2026 release.

Temtem: Pioneers

After finding success riffing on Pokémon with Temtem in 2020, developer Crema is going the way of Palworld with Temtem: Pioneers. The latest game in the monster-catching series is an open-world overhaul that ditches turn-based combat for real-time battles, and includes survival crafting elements. Alongside the announcement, Crema opened a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the game's development.

Don't Starve Elsewhere

The hit Don't Starve series is getting a new installment: Don't Starve Elsewhere. Like its predecessors, it's a survival crafting game where you'll need to navigate a dark and dangerous world. Developer Klei Entertainment did not share a release window alongside the reveal.

Prove You're Human

1000xResist developer Sunset Visitor revealed its next game during the showcase. Prove You're Human is a first-person narrative adventure game where you have to convince a delusional AI robot that it's not a human being. The surreal trailer is a trip, featuring lots of CAPTCHA solving and a touch of sci-fi horror.

CloverPit: Unholy Fusion DLC

New content is coming to CloverPit today thanks to a surprise DLC drop. Unholy Fusion allows players to combine charms together, with a total of 30 fusions available in the DLC. The DLC launched today alongside a free update that adds online leaderboards to the game.

Cairn: On the Trail DLC

2026 indie darling Cairn is getting a series of free DLC updates dubbed On the Trail. The updates will add three new climbing locations to the game, add a second playable character in Marco, and bring water soloing to the game. The first piece of DLC, subtitled Deep Water, is set to launch this summer.

Graveyard Keeper 2

Graveyard Keeper, the popular cemetery management sim, is getting a sequel. Graveyard Keeper 2 is currently in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. The sequel keeps the fundamentals of its predecessor intact, while taking players to a new, zombie-infested town. You can also get Graveyard Keeper for free on your platform of choice for a limited time.

Thick as Thieves

Thick as Thieves, a heist game from industry legend Warren Spector and OtherSide Entertainment, is launching on May 20. Originally announced as a PvPvE multiplayer game, the project has been overhauled into a mission-based single-player game with optional co-op multiplayer.

Brotato: Primal Dead DLC

The Vampire Survivors-like Brotato is getting a new DLC this summer, dubbed Primal Dead. The update will take players to the jungle and have them fending off mechs and mutant dinosaurs.

Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts DLC

Risk of Rain 2 is also getting new DLC. Hallowed Concepts will add new regions and enemies to the popular co-op roguelike. No release window was revealed for the update.
